Idea for out of bounds places
« on: December 11, 2006, 04:01:58 PM »
I was on a server the other day and I noticed they had ooc signs up on the out of bounds cliffs people get stuck on.
It seems when someone is teleported to the cliff by accident all they had to do was touch the sign and were ported to the ground.
Would that be to much work to add something like this? It would free up Dms from taking time to get people down from these spots. If thats too much maybe a gem in the inventory that you can use and it will port you off of out of bound areas.

Just a thought.
Force.

Not a bad idea overall, though it would be a huge undertaking to retrofit all of our possible out-of-bounds areas at this point.
That said, it may be something to consider for V3.

Hey...when snow skiing there are no second chances when going out of bounds on cliffs.

Sorry, just brought back bad memories of a young know it all (me) thinking out of bounds signs are for the week(on mountains) :)

but I do like the idea here. make them look in char though.

like a difficult goat trail, or some scraggly old vines, maybe a patch of scree...

more folks get stuck behind the walls around citys ....a simple solution would be a door in the wall, only openable from the side one gets stuck on...........i only mention this as i have seen many adventure die because some poor soul was stuck behind the wall of say fort hope and by the time a dm could be found the party had dwindled to just a few.
