* Kobal sighs and looks at Ireth. *

Dose wit' knowledge of nature an' deh Great Oak speak of possible catastrophe iffen deh Cauldon an' deh Seeds get inteh deh wrong hands. Somethin' moigh' 'appen dat nay only woul' cost Hurm bu' all of Layonara.

Oi am aware of Saviar's bounty. Oi never said dat Oi woul' speak fer deh so-called friends of Hurm, since dey 'ave nay showed any proof dat dey be wha' dey say - dat deh people of Hurm be who dey represent. Fer all Oi know dey represent some merchants who woul' loike teh see deir routes secured again's Broegar an' deh Poirates. Oi agree dat fer dat purpose it is nay worth deh risk teh visit deh Black Plaque.

We mus' all make dificult judgements in our loives. Oi've made bad ones in deh past, as 'ave most odders. 'owever, dere be some who believe in meh an' Oi represent meh Clan in dis, which is located on Northern Dregar an' derefore Oi am well aware of deh risk involved.

Bu' iffen ye are knowin' abou' deh people of Hurm's needs an' wishes, wha' are dey? Do dey support Saviar or are dey forced teh support 'is wishes? After all, open an' protected trade routes woul' mean commerce fer Hurm an' more food on deh table fer its citizens.

*nods at Kobal's words*
Your are honest and yes you are right, the cauldron in the wrong hands will cause a wider problem
*cocks her head to oneside as she speaks*
Just nice to hear someone admit it is more important than one town rather than claim it is ALL for the good of Hurm.
I'll be happy to talk to you in private Kobal.

*on a side notice*
The Dragon's Whisper wishes interviews with the leaders of both the "Friends of Hurm" as well as with the leadership of Hurm itself. Should either or both sides wish their tales to be shared more widely, please get word to Bumblebee via falcon. A clearly worded letter fit for publication would also be published forthwith.

((OOC
Editorial-type letters or open letters ready for inclusion in the newsletter would be welcome. Direct interviews also a possibility should time and schedule permit.

whispers on the winds from Brisbane say Ozy should be the one who speaks
I concur on this as the bards tongue may not be flowery enough as he*gestures to Gard *stated but im sure it will do better then if we approach with blades drawn

nature and the oak do know the consequences as such we have travelled to the very planes to secure the seeds
the cauldron and bowl are the next steps

this has grown far beyond one town and one forest but for the entire world as we know it
once the items are in safe keeping the druidic council is set to convene
and as a group the wisest of all the circles shall determine what the next steps shall be for the safety and well being for all of those living, not just on dregar but the neighboring isles as well

until then our goal is to speak to the wyrm
and see if its aid can be arranged
offering it free reign from any repercussions on itself shoudl be enough to have it take the pirate menace and broegar's armies from our sight and let us finish teh rebuilding

the druids say Ozy should talk

*Hardragh looks at Drogo with a look of surprise on his face*

It surprises me how easily you speak of whiping out human populations for the sake of a few trees. Who are you to barter the lives of men, just because people call them pirates.

Maybe you should do us all a favour and offer yourself as payment to the dragon. I don't mind negotiating on that.

And what of the people who are just living their lives, raising children and earning an honest wage in Hurm?
Are all of Hurm to be condemned as Pirates on YOUR word alone?
While I agree with Kobal that the repercussions of not getting the cauldron extend beyond Hurm I find your arrogant assumption that ALL in Hurm are pirates and therefore game to be wiped out by the dragon at your suggestion highly interesting.
Am I to take it you speak for the druid community as a whole in your desire to have the dragon wipe out the 'pirates'?
Let it be known that if ANY try to convince the dragon to attack Hurm again in any way then I will ensure they face the consequences for their actions....whatever those consequences maybe.

*on a piece of re-used parchment, torn and wrinkled, Eldain scribes a hasty note is written in some brownish ink*
My brother of the Order does not speak for all druids.
Balance is not maintaned by words of reprocussions and desires for extermination.
The Black will show no distinction between those some consider friend and those some consider foe.
Do not the residents of Hurm deserve the same chances at life, be they peasants or pirates, as the Broken?
This druid takes no position on who should speak.
This druid has been uninvolved and will remain so, lest the wisdom of our Hierophant suggests otherwise.
This druid wishes only for Balance to return to the Broken, but not at the expense of Balance elsewhere.

As more than one Black dragon attacked Hurm....can you prove the dragon you were talking to didn't have anything to do with another dragon attacking the ship?

since we were talking to the black plague himself
and if the ones who cared not to come with us to see the dragon had not put people on a ship leaving the city nothing would have happened

if you wish someone responsible for that action perhaps you should go find the so called followers of rofirein who were the cause

*a green flowing script left unsigned*

Perhaps, Ms. Telrunya if you are so passionate about Hurm and the events surrounding it you should have been there for the negotiations or sent someone you trusted on your behalf so that there was not later a note battle. Furthermore perhaps you should let the leader of Hurm fight his own battles.

*written in an elegant hand*
Actually I spoke in length to Kobal, assuming he was someone I could trust being a worshiper of Rofirein.
Who I choose to champion is not really any of your concern....Others champion various places without it being suggested they don't.
To the person stating I should blame the followers of Rofirein...Did not one of your number state 'Indeed it was upon the dragon's orders to have any pirate ships interfering with Hurm destroyed and indeed this one was done first as a warning'? That would give the impression that regardless of the fact you were speaking to the Black Plague the attack was still carried out on the orders of said dragon you were negotiating with.

I'm not sure who is saying that the Rofireinites that didnt come to help risc a complete town over a cauldron are therefor responcible for the deaths off people on a ship ,but if that some one would do me a favor : please put your body were your mouth is and try telling that in my face.
The dragon left its lair and circelt over the land ...ofcourse the people got scared and tried to get away.
Those that remained in Hurm with the dragon in the sky were two Rofireinites and a Toranite and the guards and people that couldnt see a way too flee.
If you find anything wrong with that ,then be my guest to either challenge me , or try to get me in front off a court .
If you dont plan either off these actions, then hold your blasted tongue and dont try to blame others for your mistakes.

The Friends of Hurm Society report the completion of difficult and dangerous negotiations and they anticipate travel to Hurm may be more peaceful in the future. The usual disclaimers apply in the event of attack by Pirates, Dragons, or other foul foes. It is hoped the Mayor of Hurm will quickly see the beenfits to the region and pass on those benefits to the good citizens, and commit public purse to the scheme. Well done all.

The Friends.

*Word is sent to the Friends of Hurm Society by way of a friendly merchant recently arrived from Hurm. It appears the Current Ruler of Hurm Saviar Morgensen has come forward and sacked the Mayor of the City for *sedition and corruption against the city of Hurm* effective immediately. The report contains much information from the Port and City of Hurm.*

Saviar emerged from the Silver Swords compound, where his palatial mansion stands, with his spokesman a man called Marcheisan Anovarius or Silver Tongue behind his back, who had just returned from Prantz. Marcheisan broke the news to a waiting crowd after the Mayor was arrested by militia comprised of both Saviars Silver Swords and the Red Bears men.

Marcheisan outlined that in the mayors place indefinitely has been installed the current Silver Swords Administrator for Hurm Ordon Fayle with instructions that any genuine trader is welcome to use Hurm as a Port of mercantile integrity. There will be considerable concessions to any merchant plying trade through Hurm as long as 'ALL' goods brought into and out of Hurm are reported to the Port Authority Overseer Falgrid Gar. Discression in mercantile dealings has been ensured.

Any products or goods that represent any sort of threat to the good people of Hurm will be denied entry and if brought into the city and discovered will be punishable by death, a sentence to be carried out immediately.

Smuggling of goods into and out of Hurm without Port Authority permission will be punished harshly.

Carrying out of slaver activity or the holding of slaves within Hurm or Hurms area of control in the waters outside the Port will result in immediate death.

The head of the cities Militia, Commander Leesa Tye has been granted all the powers necessary to secure peace within the city and Port areas.

A city wide curfew exists for four hours from midnight each night.

Any unsactioned activities within the city will be dealt with firmly by the cities Militia.

The moves have been welcomed by many of those dwelling in the town who are seeing a flood of quality goods and products appearing in the markets as well as crime falling to its lowest rates in a very long time. Saviar is being hailed as a most generous ruler with many businesses and taverns holding sponsored events on behalf of the people of Hurm paid for by Saviar.

Meanwhile employment is at its highest level in years since Saviar has commissioned the rebuilding of the city's outer walls, the sea wall and other projects around the city and Port.

*some of the old notices are pulled from notice boards and something more current added*

The Friends of Hurm Society would wish it to be made public of the demise of one tribute ship bound for the Black Dragon of Hurm. Investigation would suggest the cargo has been lost and that the said Dragon is displeased. Gilbert's guide to the world has seen fit to grade travel in this region as 'Unpredictable' The Society would wish to properly make readers aware that an improving trade position in this region has greatly benefited many and that there must surely be a desire for this situation to be resolved and a more favourable travelling trade once again established. As such the Society is making enquiry and would trust that none would be so foolish as to interfere with these tributes of cargo again!
