 Sir, you are amiss over the existance of shields made from platinium. The metal is mallable and suitable for armor, but is far too soft for shields. If you have outgrown your iron shield, I suggest you look for one constructed from adamantium.
 
 Reputable suppliers are Raven Guild, the Cresent Moon and Shield and perhaps a few independant smiths may have one as well.
