i think i saw once a page where you could translate common into any other NWN language. May have been on another site but does anyone know of this?

Yes

Language Converter

here it is. There is no conversion from a non common language to common. I had asked the page maker if he could add it, he said it would not be possible.

Reverse translations from these custom languages isn't easily possible because there is ambiguity in the reverse translation.  It generally takes a human looking at it to figure out the meaning.

Also note that Layonara has a few custom languages that will not appear on that page, and for those there are no online translators available.

For at least a couple of them, no, we don't want an online resource. They're languages even rarer than Abyssal/Infernal/Draconic/Celestial.

Anyway, just offering that as a point of information.

Your right, most of the languages can't be converted back to common due to how the languages were made. I tried to make a reverse conversion system for the translator and it didn't do to well.

Well, if you want, I could make it so the languages don't show up by default but needs a special "passcode" or such before they do. Perhaps sending a unique string over the query string and such. This way you guys can use the online translator without making the language available to everyone.

GMs have access to the in-game ears, so there's not really a need.  But thanks for the offer.
