Hello all, if anyone remembers me

I'm pleasantly surprised this game is still going.. I was actually thinking of playing again but I would have to start a new character since I was gone so long and have no idea what my old one's password was..

I saw there's talk about the next version coming out and I was wondering if it's worth it to even come back. Is the big change happening soon? Like in the next few months, or this year?

Obviously I don't expect an exact date and I'm sure you don't want to give it, but I also don't want to get going on a character who I can't play in the near future, so if it's best to just hold off I'd like the warning:)

There is no date yet.  We're not even in beta at this point, so I really can't say. I also can't say how worthwhile it would be to start a new character.  People are still joining up and older players are creating new characters.  There's definitely enough time for you to have some fun, but I don't know what your threshold is for the amount of time you'd like to spend with your character.

It's definitely a slower game than it used to be.

Back when I made my first character and everything was neatly arranged in Hlint, it seemed like you could leap through levels compared to now on layonara.

But, I think if someone wants to get somewhat there, go for it. I can always think in my head or write the rest of Vanther's story when the time comes.

And for the ideas of "Descendents of our characters", quite useful to get a heritage going.
