Mariner's Hold -Missing Person...

"Let's head to the last place you saw it and have a look - hopefully it's just a wild dog or some animal wandered in.  But first, can you describe it further?  Close your eyes, pretend you're there again.   Tell me what you see.  How big is it?  What color?  Two legs or four?"  He hums to help Pimpernell's concentration.

After an informative and entertaining evening at the Silver Buckle, Andrew is out very early in the morning, tracing the steps of a halfling recently seen singing loudly at full speed toward his Inn.  Later he's spotted at the Mariner's Hold public works office asking to see some schematics and taking care of some routine business.

The night prior to Andrew's departure and after his delirious escapade, Pimpernell continues with his tale...

"Well, I dunno really, might be one of those rats. You see, rumors have been circulating about humongous rats in the docks. Might be one of those!"

"Gods, that was a huge rat then. I'm kinda sleepy, Mister Andrew, might if I rent a room for the night?"

"Certainly, right this way.  What rumors about rodents of unusual size?  I hadn't heard..."  Andrew tries to pry a little more information out of Pimpernell as he leads the halfling bard to the guest room beside the clinic.

Pimpernell chuckles and nods slowly. He fashions a smug little grin as he looks at Andrew. His voice takes on a darker tone and of a different accent.

"I'll tell ye what, human... I'll tell ye everythin' yer heart be yearnin' for... but ye must answer the riddles three!"

His voice returns to its usual tone.

"Or you can just give me a tall glass of milk."

He lets the silence linger for a moment and he laughs.

"I jest! Well, rumors of late have been circulating in the docks. Rumors of unrest and hairy rats! Humongous rats have been seen in the docks recently and the local officials don't care that much as it seems. Might be the reason why folks in the docks are quite upset. Might be linked to the missing halfer though!"

Andrew nods and gets Pimpernell his tall glass of milk, stopping to pet the new Buckle cat on his way back.  Bidding the halfling goodnight, he goes in search of Emwonk before heading to bed and getting up bright and early...

Pimpernell savors his tall glass of milk before going to bed. He hums a calm tune as he watches Mariner's Hold from his window. He downs his beverage before diving into the oversized bed.

Customers at the Silver Buckle one morning note the proprietor leaving with a note; upon returning he circulates around the tavern, singing and chatting, but with a pack stowed behind the bar and his rapier on his belt.  He's radiating magic to the sensitive.

The Silver Buckle closes after a red-haired dwarf and an older, sand-weathered human man escort a frightened halfling woman to the Inn.  It remains closed for a few days; however, clerics of Prunilla, a halfling in blue and black, a woman in tight-fitting burgandy, and two Rofireinites are seen coming and going along with a dark-haired, slender woman wearing the symbol of Deliar.
