    Beez is here!
    « on: April 13, 2008, 09:07:35 pm »
    Hi all.
    I'm Beez.
    I have an important question:

Whenever I attempt to download the .rar files that are needed to play the game, it just downloads as a .php
How can I make it so they download as the .rar files that they are supposed to be?

Actually, it makes no difference, Shiff.

Beez, what you're probably doing is right-clicking on the provided links and selecting "save as".  Just click on the link.  Because the site is dynamically loaded, it takes you to a php page which fetches the file.  When it prompts you for what to do with the file, that is when you save it as appropriate for your system.

im just clicking on the link
      no rar file, just php
none of them work for me

also, is this game for nwn or nwn2?
cause i think nwn is better than nwn2 and i wouldn't be able to play as well on nwn2

hehe, hang on, are you left handed?  Some people who are left handed have the normal click as the right click, and the options/menu button as the left click

What -exactly- happens when you try to download the files?
Does a box pop up giving you the option to save the file or open it directly?
And if that box does pop up, does the file name that it displays have the .rar or .php ending?

Also, have you changed the default settings to change what happens when you click on links?

i have free download manager, so that pops up and asks where i want to put it
in free download manager, it says the name of the item i am downloading, and it always ends with a .php on those links

Ohhh.  You may wish to disable that, then.  Download managers sometimes don't look beyond the first file (the PHP) to find the second.

My compatriots have it; DownThemAll works fine with this sort of link (as it's one of the context radials on the standard download pop-up for Firefox), but many other download managers won't.
