Hello everyone! Just thought I would pop in and introduce myself.
My RL name is Brin, and I live in the Portland, Oregon area with my husband Michael of 13 years, and our 3 foster children. Well, one is not really our foster child per se, but his mother allows him to live with us because she was having trouble meeting his needs. So, with an 18, 17, and 14 year old to keep up with, I'm a frenzied mess most of the time. O.o
Ah well, even through the hard stuff I wouldn't trade it for the world. Well, I 'might' trade the 14 year old on some days. :D
At any rate, our 18 and 14 year olds are brother and sister and have been with us for the last 6 years. We are hoping to adopt the younger of the two sometime this year if finances work out . . . and he still has his head. Please let him grow out of the 'eye rolling' stage soon!
We also have a small zoo here, well at least it feels like it. Life abounds in our house for sure! Dogs, cats, birds, rats, a bunny, and a guinea pig all have me scooping something or other. :)
I became disabled several years ago, so my hours are my own when I am not juggling the family.
You just never know when or where I might pop up. :p

Welcome to the world of Layonara :) If you ever need any help, seek out a character named "Kinai Kinsei." Trust me, I'm on at strange hours myself :P

WOW congratulations to you and your husband for being foster parents. I did my Masters Thesis on foster care, I learned a lot. Rats? Cool I have two myself, Geoffery and Scabbers. Welcome to Layo!
