Greetings and all that

Hi there. I'm considering submitting a character for approval and all that, so I figured I'd stop by and say hi.

So... Hi.
There we go. Wasn't that hard.

I've been roleplaying in City of Heroes for about a year now when suddenly a friend of mine mentioned good ol' Neverwinter Nights. Another friend of mine came to me, totally unrelated, and asked if I wanted do a little RP in NWN. Long story short, I got this place recommended, did some reading and I must say that I like what I see.

Expect to see more of me, sometime soon ;)

Things move a little slower here than in City of Heroes, but if you like story and a rich world that you can actually affect and change, then you'll enjoy Layo. Check out the quests on the calendar, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Both the fact that I can actually affect the world, as well as the fact that it simply is more immersive than an MMO, speaks in favor of Layo.

I'll probably be reading up on some lore before I really get started though.

Thanks for the attention, see you soon :)

Just a quick question and a comment.

First, how long does it usually take for a character to be approved? Not to stress anyone, I know the approves have plenty on their hands and a life outside the game as well, I'm just curious :p

Secondly, I've been reading a lot of the lore, rules and that kind of thing and I must say, I'm VERY impressed and looking more and more forward to being a part of this immense project. Especially because this world is open to change; characters who try hard have a good chance at actually leaving their mark upon the world which is not something you see everywhere. Furthermore, people seem eager to help and very friendly.

Major kudos to the community, the DMs and Leanthar for creating and contributing to what seems like the best RPPW around :)
