The World of Layonara

I'm brand new here, looking forward and excited about trying Layonara out as far as NWN servers go. It looks pretty awesome so far, and I haven't even logged in yet! I have been playing Arelith for the past 5 years or so, but the last year its been going down hill, so a few friends of mine wanted to try something new.
I do have a question however, something Im slightly confused about. Is Layonara at all set in Forgotten Realms, and it is apart of Faerun? Or is Layonara a world all its own?

It is a world all of it's own, and you can find out all you need to know here at the Layonara Online Reference Encyclopedia (http://lore.layonara.com/StartHere).

Welcome to the place, its a wonderful place with lots of Rp, and good one.
It is a rich world full of stories, and I can only say this place got me charmed for 2 years now, due the GM skill , the world itself and the awesome Rp chances and players you can find here.
