Tony Jay: my personal hero
« on: August 14, 2005, 10:34:00 pm »
This man has the most sinister voice in the entire business.  Mostly consigned to video game and cartoon roles, he has entertained me again and again with his dark inflections and insidiously catchy villainous roles.  Recently I was playing the new Bard's Tale game that came out, and IMMEDIATELY recognized his voice from Soul Reaver, Baron Mordo on the 94' Spiderman cartoon, the gate to the underworld in King's Quest 6, guest spots in both Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, Galactus, Magneto and so many others.

here is his profile and credits from IMDB.com...   http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0419645/
and his personal website, http://www.poetsonbroadway.com/

All bow to the king of all roles diabolical!

Just listen to the power of his voice... http://www.poetsonbroadway.com/Sounds/September_Song_Preview.mp3

So much awesomeness...

But I prefer John Rhys-Davies, myself. Something about his voice, man... Something about his voice.
