I was listening to this on the radio in the car today and it made me laugh.  It sounded so much like something Ami (Twidget) would sing.

Timulty...  I believe might find himself well represented by Great Big Sea's "Consequence Free".

And look!  Here's a link.
YouTube - Great Big Sea - Consequence Free

Of course, he already DOES say what's really on his mind...  Often...

But it seemed more appropriate than 'When I am King' for a Chaotic Good character with no aspirations at royalty.

That's all well and good as long as Brian doesn't go around dancing in a tutu...

hee hee... that would be interesting!  Then we'd know for sure he'd lost it!

I think both of these fit Alatriel pretty well... good titles too
YouTube - Shadow - Ashlee Simpson
YouTube - Delain - See Me In Shadow

I think for Beli it would be  YouTube - Ravel's Bolero. It has a constant tempo, starts quiet and gets louder and louder as time goes by, ending with a big crescendo. If I had to have one with words then I would pick  YouTube - Boom by POD , more for the chorus then anything else.

How does one choose a theme song for a character that is constantly in flux? My thoughts on picking a song for Jaelle ... and yet I came across something the other day that reminded me so much of her that I had to post it. I'm not going to say who it's for, but I warn all those who think they can guess that the answer is not necessarily obvious!

The original is in Gaelic, which might prove problematic for most of you, so I've included a translation as well. Please note, not all Gaelic characters were supported the first few attempts so I've made a few changes.

Maith Dhom
Le Máirtin ó Direáin

I mo aonar dom aréir
I mo shui cois mara
An spéir ar ghann chuid néal
' S an muir is tir faoi chalm.
Do chumhraiocht rionda
A scáiligh ar scáileán m’aigne
Cé  loinnir deiridh mo ghrá duit
A shileas bheith in éag le fada.

Ghlaos d’ainm go ceanúil
Mar ba ghnách liom tamall
' S chuala scread scáfar
ó éan uaigneach cladaigh.
Maith dhom murab fhál leat fiú
Do scáth dhil im’aice
Ach bhi an spéir ar ghann chuid néal
' S an muir is an tir faoi chalm.

Forgive Me

On my own last night
Sitting by the shore
The sky was short of stars
And the sea all quiet and calm.
Your shimmering regal presence
Was cast onto my mind’s screen
Although any spark of love for you
I thought had long since gone.

I called your name softly
As I used to before
And I heard a sad scream
From a lonely sea-bird.
Forgive me if you didn’t even want
Your lovely shadow beside me
But the sky was short of stars
And the sea all quiet and calm

Many changes is coming B ways. May be good, may be bad for him, but one of these changes that has already happened, left him with this theme song.

I can not for the life of me come up with anything for Aerimor.  He is too business like.

Razeriem on the other hand is too easy. (No pun intended.)  At least if you were to ask him.  Maybe a certian crappy song by Rico Suave?

I was thinking another one for Raz would be a certain song by the Pussycat Dolls- "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?"

Daniella has two:

The Prayer

I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe

I pray we'll find your light
and hold it in our hearts
When stars go out each night
Remind us where you are
Let this be our prayer
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

We ask that life be kind
And watch us from above
We hope each soul will find
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Needs to find a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe.

Not While I'm Around
By Stephen Sondheim

Nothin's gonna harm you
Not while I'm around
Nothin's gonna harm you, no sir
Not while I'm around.
Demons are prowling everywhere, nowadays
I'll send 'em howling, I don't care, I got ways

No one's gonna hurt you
No one's gonna dare
Others can desert you, not to worry
Whistle I'll be there
Demons'll charm you with a smile,
For a while, but in time,
Nothin's gonna harm you
Not while I'm around.

I don't really know what matches Tod. I came up with:

It's My Life by Bon Jovi

 All Star by Smash Mouth

Both are fast paced like him! ;)

I've got one for Sion:

Rofie Prison Blues (from Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues)

I hear the boat a comin'
It's comin to the docks,
And I ain't seen the sunshine,
All I see is rocks,
I'm stuck in Rofie Prison,
And time keeps draggin' on,
But that boat keeps a-sailin',
All around Mistone.

When I was just a baby,
My Mama told me, "Son,
Beware of topsiders,
If you see one kill and run,"
But I killed a dark elf instead,
Just to watch him die,
When I hear that wind a blowin',
I hang my head and cry.

I bet there's adventurers eatin',
In a fancy inn or bar,
They're probably drinkin' whiskey,
And playin with creatures cards,
But I know I had it comin',
I know I can't be free,
But those people keep a-movin',
And that's what tortures me.

Well, if they freed me from this prison,
If that boat passage was mine,
I bet I'd move out over a little,
Farther away this time,
Far from Rofie Prison,
That's where I want to stay,
And I'd let that lonesome wind,
Blow my Blues away.

Fix You
by Coldplay

When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home,
And ignite your bones,
And I will try to fix you,

High up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you...

Grounds for Divorce
by Elbow

Mondays is for drinking to the seldom seen kid

I've been working on a cocktail called Grounds for Divorce
Polishing a compass that I hold in my sleep
Doubt comes in on sticks, but then he kicks like a horse
There's a Chinese cigarette case
And the rest you can keep
And the rest you can keep
And the rest you can keep

There's a hole in my neighbourhood down, which of late, I cannot help but fall
There's a hole in my neighbourhood down, which of late, I cannot help but fall

Mondays is for drinking to the seldom seen kid

There's this whispering of jokers doing flesh by the pound
To a chorus of supposes from the little town hoods
There'll be twisted karaoke at the Aniseed lounge
And I'll bring you further roses
But it does you no good
And it does me no good
And it does you no good

There's a hole in my neighbourhood down, which of late, I cannot help but fall
There's a hole in my neighbourhood down, which of late, I cannot help but fall
There's a hole in my neighbourhood down, which of late, I cannot help but fall

Someday, we'll be drinking with the seldom seen kid
