I dun really care which one, but I really wish that ONE of them would finally take control.  Of course, since I'm American I don't really care too much about German domestic policy. =)

sure there are some more parties in Germany, but only that two parties (SPD and CDU) have a canditate for the chancellor. It's very confusing here in germany, a new chancellor was not yet found. So we don't know who of them will it be...
Nevermind, there are funny new names for a coalition now, called the "jamaica-coalition" because the colors of the parties, black for CDU, green for the Greens and finally yellow for FDP...
No idea if they'll make such a coalition ;)

May the best person win, as it has been said, a Lion can lead an army of deer to victory, but a dear and lead an army of Lions to defeat.

ehm, the SPD is middle-left oriented, well, but there is a communism party in germany, called PDS, but now they call themselves "Die Linke" - "the left" ;)

I'm gonna vote for the guy on the left...since I know absolutely nothing of either candidate, and the left guy looks a lot less freakier, you know...

Ich wirklich interessiere mich nicht, wem gewinnt. Ich denke, daß ich für die Frau auf dem rechten fur wähle, das niemand für sie gewählt hat. Ich fühle für sie traurig. lassen Sie die beste Person gewinnen!

how the goverment will look is not yet sure...
We now have a "big coalition" between SPD and CDU, the biggest parties here in Germany...
See how happy she is now :)

I thought it went, "A Deer can lead an army of lions to victory, but put a lion in charge, and he'll lead the deer only to barbecue sauce"

Neat picture of berlin at dawn.
I haev been to berlin once :) Since I am a city person I like it. It is big, lots of shopping, cool places and neat buildings.

Nice to see a female Chancellor... or is it Kanzlerin?
I just think it is kind of strange to see the two oppositions form a new goverment. That would never happen here... then again, I am not so much into german politics. Middle-left SPD? and ...conservative christian rightwing CDU? Or, is it more liberal than conservative?

Btw, aren't the colours black, yellow and green those of Sachsen? Why did they chose to call it jamaica in that case... I seem to remember it annoyed them jamaicans... I might have missread though....

yeah yeah, it's all a bit difficult dear...
and you're right, we would call it 'Kanzlerin'
and you're right, SPD is mid-left and CDU is conservative...
Dunno how they call it Jamaica-Coalition, however, now he have a 'Big coalition'
Dunno the colors of Sachsen or any other county here ;)
For myself I wasn't yet in Berlin, but I definitly will one day :)
Not yet found a good statistic with the results of the votation, sorry!
