Over rated? nah, overused OH YA.
FF games have always been ahead of their time, with that one being the first 3D FF game, it was considered AMAZING back then. not to mention the story, and Sephiroth is a very good villian. Watching him in the movie you could just feel the insanity in the air. the story and game were awesome, though people over use it, comparing it to everything related or not.

eh i thought the long arse sword complimented Cloud's huge arse sword rather well. it was kinda seeing the brute vs the duelist in sword version, just pretty extreamed. girlish hair or not though, he still was pretty friggen scarey.

Final Fantasy VII is great, but blown way out of proportion. The current mass-producing of sequels and spin-offs is nothing short of ridiculous. Nevertheless, it is a very emo game. My favourite Final Fantasy, however, is Final Fantasy IX. Followed closely by Final Fantasy VI. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just coward. ;)

Haha! I get to make negative comments without consequences (well maybe heh). The entire Final Fantasy franchise is severely over rated, over used and entirely too cartoon-ish to be taken seriously in any way. Woohoo I've always wanted to say that and then not get ganked by all the FF mavens. On a side note breathing is a luxury and is over rated as well.
