Wow.  Is that the actual scene?  Unmodified?  I have never watched that iconic piece of Star Trek lore... it sucked.  It sucked so much it is awesome... in that way.

Yeah, reminds me of my new PC fight coming up with a few kobolds outside town.  The rounds are almost painful.

I remember watching that scene on tv as a kid and thought it was pretty scarry.  There is a little suspension of disbelief that goes into its appreciation now, but still enjoyable.  Good stuff!

Pff, they actually slowed down the actual footage so viewers could see Kirk's awesome combat moves. Otherwise it would be too fast. :rolleyes:

Kirk ran off to level at the end of it, figuring he could gain a little time by dragging the slower brute through the area transition.

I guess you're going to pooh-pooh the fact that Kirk kills the Gorn by fashioning a mortar from some bamboo and some carbon and sulfur that he finds. Unbelievers!

I think it was some attempt at mimicking the 'bouncer' thing of clapping your hands over their ears to stun them.. but yes, either way, that was the worst part.

Who noticed the hollow sound when the boulder bounced? XD
