Okatu Ka? means, more or less, Are you a fanatic? in japanese.

Loosely translated, it means "Are you an anime fan?"

Hell no! I swear to western Europe style!

I scored 3-4, depending on if you want to count me as "balding" or not.  (I prefer "thinning".)

And no, I'm not going to mention what the other three are.

I have to correct Stephen's Japanese a bit.  Otaku ka?  ??????? Does not mean "are you a fan?".....It means are you a "nerd"?  It doesn't mean manga specific.  There are many types of Otaku in Japan.  I won't get into the descriptions but it gets down right hilarious.

I lived there (Japan) until quite recently for more than a few years.  My wife calls people who like NWN "Pasokon Otaku" or computer nerds.

To my understanding, the literal translation of "otaku" was "fanatic." A more accurate translation, aye, would be nerd, but the actual word... Well, we all know how jargon translates (or doesn't).

Here in the states, an Otaku is specifically an anime nerd.

And in Shadowrun, the otaku are people who hack into the matrix using techno-magic instead of cyberware... which was rare in 3rd edition, but now has been replaced with Technomancy Resonance in version 4.

        [ ] 40(+) years old.
        • Living with his mother. (I'm in high school)

        [ ] Balding.

        • Epic-Level Anything; i.e. plays pen and paper RPGs whenever given the chance, and is completely familiar with at least all rules relevant to his character(s). (I've made many of my own)
        • Never been laid in his life. (I‘m a seventeen year old girl, in Highschool with a class of 30 that I‘ve known for six years, and I didn‘t go to college yet…so to all 30 of the people I know…ew).

        [ ] Has a porn collection.

        • Just KNOWS the aliens are coming, and has taken steps to prepare. ß This is because the psychologist is gone and I don’t get my medication anymore.
        • Can actually perform the Vulcan Nerve Pinch. (My friend taught me when I was seven ._.)

[ ] Is working on the whole Force thing.
        • Has actually passed on a date, because his favorite sci-fi series was on that night. (Uh…I past up plenty of parties, things, and important stuff like school to play Layo.)
