Anyone else remember these with much nostalgic fondness? When I was a young lad in the 1980s they were the MUST HAVE coolest thing around. I can't really remember that commercials but it did bring back memories of a 12 year old Pseudo gettin' about desperately wishing he was Rambo.

Yeah...  Those knifes would break if you tried to do anything serious with them...  MOST don't have a proper blade-tang structure to make them solid enough to do anything with without snapping something off (like the blade or handle).

One of my friends actually had one of those with the tree wire cutter. We tried to cut a 4 inch diameter tree with it. The wire broke on the second pass.

You should read the source book Stallone used for Rambo...  it's much different.
