Title: Magic Circle Against Alignment...
Post by: Drizzt on May 19, 2005, 05:41:00 pm
This may have already been discussed before but, I was wondering if the circle gave you +2 to your AC against your character's opposite alignment?  Is it a possible glitch or was the spell modified for Layo?

It depends on whether you cast a magic circle vs good or evil.

Well obviously most of the time it is going to be against evil.  :)

I am just wondering if it gives the AC bonus at all.

All the information about spell changes points to, yes it still gives the bonus to AC.  The alignment you get the AC against is determined by which version of the spell you cast.

Also, I believe the AC is deflection, so If you have Shield of Faith or something else that gives a deflection bonus to AC it wont stack.

also since it's only an AC bonus Vs specific types of creatures it will not show up on your character sheet
