restricting outdoor spells.
« on: August 28, 2006, 12:26:11 am »
I have been playing my Druid and have notice he is allowed to cast call Lightning inndoors.I have alo seen other spells such as Storm of vngence,Ice storm and meator storm.
I remember on another server I played the spells like that did not work indoors or inderground. Is Id like to see this added to Layo.

well it would mean clerics couldent cast Storm of Vengence in doors, as well as clerics couldent cast Metor Swarm or Ice storm. So it would effect all fronts.

Though it makes sence.. 75% of the big quests and good stuff is in caves, so without these spells life would be a heck of alot harder.

oh yea and its magic.. so if you want to say it shouldent work in doors.. then you should also say, it shouldent work at all.. magic isent real!

Besides, would a dingy little building stop a gods blessing? Or would to withhold the call of nature to a druid?

as the metor swarm, i dont think its actually comming from space.. there just magicly apperaing.. like fireballs just appear, you dont like need a match or something to start a fireball.

Well...technically...Call Lightning should not work inside. But, I think it is allowed to work inside (Bioware thing) for balance reasons, as many of the spells and abilities that make druids really, really neat and useful simply do not exist in NWN and cannot really work properly in a CRPG setting without GM involvement.
