Deeds overview.

I got two ideas here one would be longer to implement than the other.

1- instead of seeing the deed papers them self, why not make an item with its own picture 4x4 representing what the deed is. Like the merchant vendors. Would  easier to locate what you are looking for.

or

2- make a list like the one you use in crafting, would be clearer to read and easier to locate what you are looking for.

Implementing this in game would be rahter tricky I guess as you will likely need around 150+ items you'd have to create.

Instead you can simply use the Furniture Deed Preview Tool ;) See here for reference.. http://www.layonara.com/layonara-server/115243-furniture-deed-preview-application-updated.html

The furniture is named as the deeds are and displays you an IG picture of the furniture you are interested in. The structure itself allows you to browse the list of available deeds easily and click any deed you are interested. ;)

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the fact that even when you know what you want and what it's name is, having a hundred items in the shop window that all look exactly the same with no categorization or anything makes it hard to hunt things down. :)

That said, having a 'new picture' for every item means creating a hundred different icons for it, and the second option would need to write out a whole conversation option instead of simply a merchant. Probably not going to happen.

I mean, we could also have an online LORE catalogue that deducts money from your bank account like the birds do when they work, and have the furniture just delivered! Then you could see the pictures!

...That one is REALLY likely! *grins* Maybe you should just hire someone to shop for you, instead? ;)

I do like the deed previewer, though... I just wish I could use it for purchasing. *Shakes fist.*

I like that idea too lol.

*Sits at his home, filling out some form then sends it to the vendor. 3 business days later the delivery guy arrives with the new furnitures*

But indeed, I'm talking of how it can take a while to find what you are looking for when all that you see looks the same.

You could have an area with one of each item in it (or multiple small areas to break up the lag).  Each item in the house would be usable with a conversation to buy it.  Then you really could go to the furniture show room.

Perhaps you can do it the old way or pay 1000gp just to enter the showroom.  This would keep the casual browser out.

I don't know if this helps, but the deeds on the vendor get arranged by price, so the less-expensive things appear at the bottom of the Buy/Sell window with the more expensive things going upward.

If the current overview tool doesn't already, it might be worthwhile to have it display base prices as well. It might help people to use that tool to find what they're looking for in-game.

Making new and unique icons for them all would be a tremendous amount of work, just to let you know.  It's not just a picture change but a base item change as well.  They'd also take up an whole lot more room in inventory if we made them larger, which I guarantee would make people a lot more inconvenienced than they are with the current way of doing things.  If we added new housing placeables, then we'd need to do a HAK update as well to support new icons.

On the practicality/bang-for-the-buck meter, it's pretty low.

The very old version had it and yes, it will have the ability in near future as it was requested by some players.
