Title says it all.
Could there be Dummy weapons (wooden swords, mauls etc.)?
Going to the arena to “practise” seems okay in the RP-way.
But using blades made of steel and maybe even enchanted with fire…
I know adventures are tough and so on but practicing with real weapons?
Well…. There is already the opportunity to get a club or staff but just to make the choice more broad…
-
Yeah, get weapons that don't do any damage! And, since they don't do damage, they could be used anywhere! I am already imagining a fighting show in Hlint! *drools while thinking of the masssive amount of money tht would bring*
-
The idea of practice weapons that deal no damage has been talked about before on a few occassions, not sure where the threads are at the moment, but trust, they're out there.
-
Peoples strength modafier have to be taken into account as well. I had a Half giant that could hit for 50 damage (on a Crit) with the old equipable Iron Rod that did no damage.
-
If possible to script, then have the damage set to 1 on each hit, regardless of the
total damage with modifiers, buffs etc.
With 1 hp loss on hit it will be easier to determine how many times you were hit,
instead of scrolling back to count the hits.
-
er.... unless the person in the fight has regeneration... 0.o
-
Heh come on... either cancelling the polymorph or unequipping items that provide Regeneration seem like a good choice, if the fight is indeed intended to be fair. ;)
-
Bloody toranites... always trying to get people to fight fair.. ;)
-
*grins* fair depends on the type of fight you're having. I'd love to see a mage dual in there.
-
Yea, and then you could make training places in player homes, and open up your own training/school type thing... the word excapes me if there is one...

That would really favor those with more attacks and higher attack bonuses, putting the agile at better conditions than the strong. Of course, I happen to *like* agile characters, but that's another story...

Your thinking of Dojos and that would be a good idea. Pay for training from high level players.
You'd have to buy a certification for that.
also, you could buy new feats. that would give individualism to same class players.
