ok, this is a short story, about fourteen pages long.  

two things of note:
first, this story was written in response to a semi-challenge to write a romance.  you've been warned.
second, the Cole in this story is NOT the Cole Norseman (my character on Layo)some of you reading this might be familiar with.  he is actually a character belonging to a series of stories i have written.
