    Tribute Song
    « on: June 23, 2005, 09:06:00 pm »
By popular demand, here's a little sonnet-ish thing I cooked up; consider it a tribute to all those who have fought so hard against Bloodstone. :)  Enjoy!

    Tribute Song
As the Bloodpools close and wither
    Beneath the two-moon sky,
    Sinthar's forces break and either
    Retreat or screaming die.
Heroes all, the bold ones stand
    Against the threat'ning dark.
Light on their brows, and in their hands
    Steel and magic spark!
    Layonara's valiant saviors
    Reclaim their land once lost,
And win the gods' and poets' favors
    With ev'ry scheme they cross.
But ware, brave souls who guard the world, in your triumph don't forget,
Your foes may fall in hordes before you, but Blood is not dead...yet.

    (I know, I'm rusty -- I promise I'll get better. ;) )

    [EDIT: Pools! I meant pools!]

Very nice!  If that is how you write when you are rusty, I cannot wait to see what you write  after some practice!  ;)
I really enjoyed the poem, thanks.

      Let's have a follow-up, now that ol' Sinthy's dead.
