(Appears physically to be of later 20s, although somewhat unnatural)

Hi Guys after chatting to milty on changes to game thought id best I would resubmit my plans for the char ideally factoring in now lvl 45 in mind.

References above for my previous approval of Prestige class and evil request. But story now different.
As said above, Nathan appeared outside HIS dark tower ..human, with all remnants of Necrotic alteration removed (human arm again) and lacking memory. So based on the memory lacking, defaulting to Lawful neutral fine for me. The plan is the more I level back
and explore, the more my memory returns along with that old personality...

The necromantic gifts story wise was coming from my father of a liche. The Shifter did indeed toy with me and corrupt me as a puppet sometimes..., even took over my tower. BUt i believe hes long gone. The plan is to level wizard 10
Then ideally at lvl 10 i would like to get those memories mostly restored along with a possible heirloom of my fathers which reawakens those Necrotic gifts inside. From there - full Palemaster and necromancy focus.

So the endgame would be wizard 15, Palemaster 30. At level with my memories restored - i would like the Lawful evil alignment back please

Ask A Gamemaster / Restoring what was lost...

Hi Guys,
Just planting a seed to see what maybe possible.
I completely understand my character was lost through time, i am sure been many versions of the game or moves over 20 years, amazed was name was even remembered. That being said its a shame as i am scared to think the amount of time and effort i put into the game and played all those years, having some probs of the most powerful items in the game.

THAT Being said. From a story point of view this works great. I cant remember how to play the game, so really learning the NWN toolset and skills from the ground up great. However i do want to stay true to the character, so doing my best tokeep the same things he had before, even stats wise. I realise the level cap is now 40? I was only lvl 20 before, palemaster i believe.

I would truly love some advice or a chat with a GM on the char development. I would really appreciate if later in the game - once ive levelled and got my bearings i could find something of an inheritance of what i had before. Really just to pay back the people helping me now..., as they have no idea truly of who i used to be and what i had All earned via story quest  of course....i

Also i do need todo my reading on the classes again. I feel like my character application probably incorrect as from a story point of view...the  corruption of the shifter is what causes the palemaster - making my left arm undead and deadly to touch. I am now born again with a human arm so that part lost at least, so i dont think makes sense to CHOOSE to go down that road again, unless events got thrust upon me to have it happen. Anyway...some advice appreciated.

Introduce Yourself / Prince of Darkness returns...

Hey guys thought id make a quick post - as also been chatting on forums. Ancient OG player here , Nathan Birche also known as the Prince of Darkness ...for making bad look good

THe game and name had such an impact on me i forever became knoiwn as PoD in real life, even have a tattoo of the name.

Dude behind the PoD is Graham . Me and my friends, Doogz, Callum, Scott found Layonara and loved it. Expanding on from Baldurs gate 1 and 2, Icewind dale, NWN we looked for something permanent. We would LAN these games most of the time in university where we all met. Being 20 something odd at the time.

Also Doogz and I being in IT industry, we did a lot of the early coding as well. Doogz more heaviltiy, Callum and I more on the DM side. I am told...some of our code comments still in there

Anyway, sadly i would probably blame WoW and the time difference for our departure. Being in UNI lifestyle, playing late and joining our American friends was very easy.  But times changed as they do and we were unable to keep up with the time we wanted to give the world, so fell apart. Still some of the best memories i have.

20 years later and nostalgic. Found some old notes from Layonara and went searching again. Covid changed the world and i work from home, so finding flexible time to join again at later hours definitely possible. The funny thing is i remember barely how to play, from simple controls to using NWN EE, to our crafting. So i truly dont have to work hard to do the memory lost roleplaying... And so happy to start again and learn from scratch, but please dont be disappointed as I am quite as intimidating now in game as i used to be...
