Roleplaying / RE: Troubles of a Deep Gnome
« on: February 18, 2006, 05:46:44 pm »
It all depends on your character. Some deep gnomes are very distrustful and others are more open. You just need to know how your character feels and act accordingly.

General Discussion / RE: Any hints on leveling up quickly?
« on: January 16, 2006, 12:22:32 pm »
Others have basically said much the same, but to combine a few key points. This world is not meant for fast leveling. The custom XP charts make sure one does not "zoom" through levels. The requirements to reach epic (21+) levels are such that you must have played your character for a year.
As Ed pointed out, you've only had the character for 2 days. You can expect it will take you a while to get up to the mid-levels and even longer to get higher.
That being said, the best ways to get XP are as people stated. Find people to adventure with and join as many GM run quests as you can fit in your schedule.

Enjoy the world, enjoy the strong role playing, and over all have fun.

Leringard Arms Inn and Tavern / RE: Leilon Arms Room Ledger 12/23/05

oh yeah, he took a wrong turn coming down from the stairs, then realized there were two beds and found the right room. He gets a little muddled sometimes.

I'm not exactly sure how the numbering in the inn works, but I thought Vin was in 103, the third in from the front door.

None should be surprised and it is of course a Drow that seeks to stop our fight for Beryl.

General Discussion / RE: updating from bioware
« on: December 22, 2005, 07:56:00 pm »
What you want to do is go to the bioware site and download the critical rebuild version 1.66 using the high speed connection you said you have access to. Then burn that on a CD or something and run it on your computer with nwn. That will patch you up to 1.66.

//OOC I'm sure you would, but the number on the left is how many are available and the number on the right is the price per item. Two branches of yew would be 10,000.

Development Journals and Discussion / RE: The Faith Quest of Amelia Sunray
« on: November 23, 2005, 06:39:00 pm »
I have studied here at North Point for several years now. The temple has welcomed me and I feel both at home and at peace. I know the war rages on in the rest of the world. Many reports have come through from the boats that dock at the port. I have heard Roldem has fallen, but I can't bring myself to leave North Point and rejoin the fight.
Perhaps my life is best used here at the temple in service to Aeridin.

General Discussion / RE: GM-killer pixies on Dragon island
« on: November 14, 2005, 06:56:00 am »
Oops, my bad, yes that pixie was left over from Rurik, though to be far he is a bit miffed, so it's not unreasonable to think he might lashout. I do recall tucking him back off the beaten path though so he wasn't right in the way of travel.

If that is the case, maybe taking the feat should remove 5 tokens?
It accomplishes the same thing for the most part.

Druids who have posted in this forum should now be able to see a new forum under the Layonara section of the site. Feel free to use this as an IC communication system as Rhizome suggested.
If there are other druids that should be in the group, let me know.

General Discussion / RE: Roxx Cloudwalkers recent death
« on: November 09, 2005, 05:09:00 pm »
Lue has already answered but I'll chime in with agreement that there is no reason for everyone to heal. If Amelia or Sago happened by you they would cure you in a second. If Amra passed she would pull out bandages and try and help. If Duur passed he probably would try not to step on you but probably wouldn't think to help either. If Bimpo passed AND if she was going slow enough to notice AND had a potion, she would help, but without a potion there isn't much she can do. If Vin passed he probably wouldn't help unless he knew you and if you were drow he might laugh as he passed.

I remember one time Vin came out of the broken forest to find a drow next to death on the ground. He came over looked down at him, snickered and went on his way.

Just for Fun / RE: Civilization IV is here!
« on: October 28, 2005, 10:28:00 pm »
The only reason I do not have Civ IV right now is because I know I very well might break if I do as I have so little time right now and based on past experiences with Civ once I install it then I rarely do much else for quite a large period of time.
