.... if people really start waiting for a gamemaster to be on before logging in, will it then also hurt the chances of casual hookups and player event attendance even more than they are already damaged. *wobbles hand* Dunno. ....

I hear what you're saying, I guess I am looking from the AEST perspective where it is pretty much impossible to actually worsen this situation.

No apology necessary. I was just looking for an opportunity to use the word 'obfuscate'. With darkstorme around, I suffer from a bad case of linguistics-envy and try to pepper my speech with as many multi-syllabic words as possible. Even when it is malapropos I am now attempting to be magniloquent.

Far be it for the good folk of Layonara to obfuscate an issue with beside-the-point thoughts and arguments ... my request was for GM presence to be added to the server status. That was it.

Grimly relentless, unstoppable, inevitable.  Unswerving, unmoved, and unyielding.  Inexorable (inn-ex-ore-uh-bull) means all these things, and usually puts a somewhat fatalistic or terrifying spin on whatever is so described.

Yes, you did just put a terrifying spin on yourself *shivers*. From hereon, I will stop assigning the adjectives to you I had been using that are so obviously no longer applicable (such as this, or this, or even this, or my fave) and describe you as inexorable.

This is why I play a rogue. He learnt elven in order to woo a woman. He cares little for subtleties of faith and dogma. He is mostly happy to leave dragons to entertain themselves. I am the kind of player Dorg loves (in principle anyway).

Dorg, thanks for the response. Diety

A food that is not quite diet, only diet-y.  Pronounced die-a-tee on both sides of the pond.

In a popular fantasy game it is a word that is used waaa-aaay too much. Commonly used instead of deity, it is a word that yields 0 dictionary results and instead the suggestion 'did you mean deity?'. Yes, you did!

The adjective, meaning suitable for consumption with a weight-reduction diet, is dietic-y.

Usage:

• I said Toran is a diety in Layonara ... but I meant to say he is a deity.
  
• Do you want the full calorie beverage? No, I think i'll have the diety one.
