*points up* What they all said.

Weaponsmithing is a great way to lean towards being a weapon master (at least if yor character would be into that). And running with other weaponmasters and RP'ing with them is always a good idea. Derrick helped Jet master a lot of his moves.

Anyway, like they all said, just keep at it. You'll be fine.

General Discussion / Re: What We Know About Epics
« on: February 18, 2006, 10:43:04 am »
Perhaps we should have some sort of 'Epics' section on the forums, where people can read about the major things that the epics have done (at least that the public is aware of). Like Ar7 said we should be able to perhaps have players and GMs post about what they have seen or heard about a certain epic doing. Sort of like a gossip corner.

A good way i like to look at epics (and I'm sure others do as well) is as if they were celebrities. There is never a lack of gossip about the celebrities, and nearly everyone can recognize a celebrity in the streets if they met them. They might not be their biggest fan, or may not even like them, but they at least know who they are and a few things they have done.

I imagine it would be the same for epics. We get to see epics in action and interact with them, so why not be able to gossip about these 'celebrities' of Layonara? I imagine that a Forum on the website dedicated to information on epics would be really useful.

Hehehe.... all you have to do is shake the ground a bit and say there is some roaring in the distance and everyone freaks out.

Sorry, I logged off before I knew the door was locked for you guys.

General Discussion / Re: YOU DO NOT KNOW MY NAME!
« on: February 14, 2006, 03:02:50 pm »
Heh, I can 100% agree with you, Deacon. My old character Ne'er was supposed to be in disguise and only told one person his real name. But some people would either forget the name I gave or simply just read the label anyway. *shrugs* Eventually part of the fun of playing a disguised character was lost due to label reading.

I do understand it gets tough to remember the names of every character you meet. Sometimes you aren't sure if you've given your name or recieved them, so it is understandable sometimes. But, as I think I have always done, when in doubt assume you don't know their name.

Sadly enough, this video reminded me of some people I know. Nonetheless, it was still hilarious.

Development Journals and Discussion / Re: The training of Jet
« on: February 09, 2006, 06:29:47 pm »
**a gust of wind blows the sand off the tip of a dune. Jet glances up for a second then returns his gaze back to the sky**

Lying here, things feel different. Things are different.

Never had I seen things turning out like this. Nine years... it seems like so long ago. Nine years ago I would have imagined myself working as a dock hand or maybe signing on to the crew of a ship. Either way, I would have been living quietly, living in peace, and possibly having a family. But times have changed. Instead I am hear, in the desert, alone in person, but never alone in spirit.

It makes me wonder though... would i be as happy as I am now if it hadn't been for Tyde? If Tyde hadn't put me through hell, would I have been able to find this heaven? First I discovered what love is, and now love itself. But in order to get there I needed to find hate....

Ten years ago, would I have pictured myself lying in the sand in Saudiria, looking up at the night sky? Would I have dreamed that I would have seen a large portion of the world, and fought alongside some of the most well-known people in the world? COuld I have ever imagined that I would fall in love while I was still in the process of training to face the man I hate more than anything else?

My life has been almost like an ongoing battle. At first there was no hope, no dreams, just constant fighting against it. It seems I had to only be wrapped in the darkness for awhile before I could truly know what the light was....

**the wind blows by again, this time kicking up a large amount of dust with it. Jet leans up and looks around, deciding it would be best for him to return to the town of Saudiria before the duststorm got bad**
