Toni,

I am the owner of a similar ring to the one advertised here.  I made an undertaking not to sell it for personal gain when it came into my possession.  So with that in mind if you are prepared to donate the sum that you offered here to the relief effort for Kuhl I would be happy to give it to you as I do not use it myself.

Well I've added my little bit to the kitty, does anyone know if this will go through as a recurring payment monthly?  I didn't see anything that would allow me to schedule it that way.. if not no biggie, I'll just keeping popping it each month :)

I used to donate with the Donate your level drives, but I think like most folks I didn't realise what the real costs involved were, so with that said, I should be good for $10 / Month going forward.  When I can I'll try and give a little more, as work and family allows.

Absolutely, like VGN says:  Use either acronis or ghost and copy to the second drive, you can boot from that one or the original.  Just remember, although it's referred to as an image, once it's deployed to a hard drive it basically is a fully functional clone copy of your original drive :)

Some of my friends who have older kids swear by netnanny if that helps (think that you have to pay for it though).

Are you looking to just have a working snapshot / clone of the drive you set up, or do you want the data to replicate back and forth?

If you just want to have a clone of the drive you have a few options, use something like Norton's Ghost or Acronis to make an image of the primary drive.  You should be able to copy the image over using ghost / acronis and set up a backup drive that way.

Another method is to just do a straight disk to disk copy, set your drives up using cable select (make sure that the drives are jumpered correctly for this) with drive you want to clone set as primary (on the cable).  Boot your pc, make sure that the secondary drive is recognised in the bios.  After the pc comes up start your image software, Ghost will present you with a source disk and a destination disk (I think acronis is similar to this also), select the source and destination and next to start the copy (Ghost will reboot the system and open a copy window showing the process).

If you want to replicate your data live - well that's the stuff you didn't want to hear about ;)

I had a quick queston from this, how are alchemical preparations such as Fire and Acid bombs handled in these areas?  Logically I can't see that there are any problems with their use as they're just big flasks of volatile / highly acidic material.. but as they seem to duplicate magical effects I just wondered if from a mechanics point they might not work?

Would it be possible to have the pawn shops with a split amount of money, say half for low levels 1 thru 10 and the rest for the higher level folks.  That way the low levels who have more of a need for picking up little bitty things would be able to sell them without being impacted when a higher level cleans out the pawn shop by dropping 20 suits of platinum chainmail.
