Unless our novel contains Halflings / Hobbits, under no circumstances can the hero be seen taking time to eat... Drinking contests are ok, after all the hero must be seen to be able to hold his drink like a man (even if she is, err a woman)

Kudos to everyone at the Leringard Arms last night. I have no idea how Kali kept up with the text during the drinking contest, but man, was it great!
All in all, was very fun. Can't wait for another one. I'll second this, just sitting in on the sidelines watching was so much fun. Reminded me of pubs back home, and had me reaching into the fridge for one my last few remaining bottles of theakstons old peculiar... hats off to you drunkards:)

I'm rediscovering some books by Peter Moorwood, The Horselord, Demonlord etc. Old but still a great read. Otherwise for non fantasy works I'm plowing into the Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama which is proving quite enthralling. Unfortunately much of my spare time for reading is taken up by work related subjects  so I miss out on quite a lot that I would otherwise like to read.

Just wanted to echo ShiffDrgnhrt's comment, feel free to stop my character IG anytime. I know the feeling about popping in for a spot of CNR, it's been one of the best things about this server for me, I'd rather be known as an alchemist or tailor or what have you, than be known as a powerful mage.

I was thinking this might be a neat idea, would it be possible to have Wizard Summons based on their choice of Specialist school, as well as Alignment, Deity etc.? So for instance: Illusionist - Summons Sprite like creatures, or Air element style creatures that might be more reflective of their class, rather than say a flying book Necromancer - errm kinda obvious, summon skeleton, zombie, ghoul etc going upwards with level //Disclaimer - have just started a new wizard, specialist Necromancer, so not entirely neutral in my opinions here  Conjurer - Maybe give the folks whose specialty is Summoning somewhat more powerful summons than other classes, would seem reasonable to me, being as this is waht they love, and live to do. Not sure if the other schools actually get Summons, or not, but if they do, could tailor theirs to match a little more closely.
