Gimli Stonecutter hails from the community of Haven and was born to a mercenary family. His younger years were mostly filled with study of the martial arts under his father Bolin Stonecutter. He has become very proficient with the double bladed axe and throwing axe. At the age of 50, he struck out on his own to experience more of the world and begin building his own professional reputation. He is very brave and never shirks a good fight, often rushing into danger to the chagrin of his foes. He has a keen interest in mining, and often takes a break in between jobs to do a little digging.

Gimli hopes to collect enough wealth by adventuring and selling his skills with the axe to eventually settle down and retire. He has spent the last couple of months in the town of Hlint, and has made a fair amount of coin working there.
