NWN:EE I got as a torrent download and upon further research, there have been 4 patch updates. The torrents for those have extremely small seeder counts and hard to find. The game plays fine. I have 2 of the 4 update patches, just wasn't sure which one Layo was on.

Get msg stating client and server versions do not match.  Only place I see a version number is on the Options screen and there is a v74.8166 in upper right corner.  Suggestions?

I have the Platinum version.  Guess that's not good enough? And if I have to purchase the EE, is it just going to overwrite updated files or totally reinstall the full version again in another file? Lost and confused … (yeah, always been that way :P )

Forum Discussion / As for the Last Post idea ..

As for the Last Post idea .. how about an option in settings to automatically go to the last page of a post.  Many posts are pages and pages long.  And I hit the link for "Last POst" yesterday on one and it said there was an error and could not do it.  I tried al lthe last post type links and the post had 30= pages and took some time to get the the very end.

Wed is better for me, Fri is doubtful.  Any night during the week is good excluding Mon & Fri.

*Melody, not knowing much about farming, follows Vell about on their rounds, listening and note taking.  She uses her power of persuasion where needed to elicit positive and helpful responses in those they deal with*

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / Re: Reworking the Sneak System?
« on: January 21, 2013, 01:32:01 pm »
There is .. its called Hide in Plain Sight.  But as with the mechanics in the game it does not always work right.  And as for attacking during a sneak attack ... you can do it, its just that if you are close enough to other creatures the sudden disappearance/fall of a comrade will raise an alarm. (Draw aggro)

Sneaking is not an unused idea.  It is used all the time.  Infiltrating, scouting, getting past an enemy that  is in your path ...

I believe Lance, I already have one available.  Perhaps when you are not so busy, we can get together and its all yours.

Poor Elohanna's feelings mostly.  She was here when it happened.  Most of the damaged has been cleaned up for appearances, but there are some things that still need to be done ... *Her voice trails off as she overhears the man holding a torch, holding up a finger to Kyle to handle signal "A moment"*

*Jil sees the note and tears it off the door so as not to let the customers see it.  She scans the area about the shop outside for movement and/or watchers using available spells to see what others can not.  Then she looks down and scans the ground, trying to see what tracks were left behind.    She makes a circular loop around the outside of the place, inspecting around trees and brush for any signs of someone standing and watching the place from sight.  When satisfied she had found all she could, she heads into the back of the shop for the guild members to see the note.*

Threats?!  Really?!  *She is clearly angered*  According to this note left behind by a coward who refuses to show their face, the 1st time was not accidental.  I will not let this put customers or my family here in danger.  We need to do what can be done to "fire protect" the place.  Those of us that stay near the shop need to keep a sharper eye out for strangers.  If you have any stealth abilities or have use of spells, see if you can come into the area under such guises, perhaps you may see something.  *She rubs the bridge of her nose, eyes closed in thought.*

*Jil hears talk about some kind of fire and finally makes her way to the Merchant shop.  Her nose crinkles at the acrid smell of smoke still lingering in the place.  She surveys the damage and speaks with Elly and Andrew, 1st on what had happened, then about what is needed to be done to fix things properly.*

Oh they will stretch it out for another two.  The next instalment will probably mostly feature in Mirkwood.  Concentrating on the spiders and the Woodelves.  Not sure if they will touch upon Dol Guldur though, with a mention in Rivendell ... they have to take it somewhere .. or was that their link to the Lord of the Rings trilogy?

The Riddle Game was a huge favourite.  The expressions and tone behind the dialogue was hilarious.

I agree with Guardian & Rollinscat that another part was a bit over the top.

*?  Melody, works with Kat, listening to what she asks of the vendors, only speaking and interjecting with her most ~persuasive~ smiles and suggestions but only in a very subtle manner.  If there are children about, she opens a bag of some candy she has been toying with and creating to give to the children, only after getting permission from the parents.  She would also entertain them the children if they seem to be getting underfoot of the parents as they set up their wares, all the while still listening to Kat's questions and interjecting as mentioned before. ?*
