I would like to purchase a large iron shield. In the chest there is a small iron shield and a large platinum shield but not a large iron shield. If one could be made I will purchase it.

So now I remember why I left before. Taking care of family is hard! Stupid orcs, if only they hadn't attacked our forest home.  So many dead including Father. Mother was so badly hurt I think it would have been better for her to move on with Father rather than linger for weeks before passing on. I never thought one could feel so sad and alone...

It took some time but I did find and kill the ones who attacked our home. And I even managed to find a pup of the dogs they used and sometime rode, I will raise this one myself and see if it can be trusted. It chews everything but likes to snuggle up against me at night. I think I have become it's 'mother'. I hope this isnt all for nothing, It would be nice to  have a companion that I can ride!

Now that nothing is holding me here at home it's time to leave again. I think I shall venture forth back to see if I can find some of the adventurers I knew before coming home.  After this many years I don't know if any are still alive.  Certainly there will be new adventurers and maybe some fun too.  I wonder if Enzo is still around, he was always fun...

Hey all, I haven't been here for years, something like 2007 at least.  I am thinking about d/ling the game game again and starting a character over again.  Nice to see the community is still here and having good times!

General Discussion / I'm still here and having fun!
« on: July 08, 2007, 07:05:33 pm »
I've been here for what....4 years now on Layo, ever since Beta 4.  To see how Layo has developed over time still fascinates me!  Back then it was a north and south server and the south server still had some rough edges on it but even then it was fun because of the people who play here.

To see how far it has come since then is just awesome and I am always grateful to L and the team for having Layo up and running and constantly being refined.

In fact now I'm getting a chance to group up with people who I haven't tried to group up with and having a good time!  Of course I am sorry about that strand you lost the other day Rose on East and the one that Shiff lost in the desert.  :(

News of the development by the team of a new game engine has not deterred me in the least.  I'm here to have fun and escape from the dreaded real world which for some strange reason keeps knocking on the window.

To L and the team, keep up the great work, I'm going to continue to have fun on Layo.:)

Introduce Yourself / Hey everyone
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:28:32 pm »
Guess I can add mine up here as well.  My name is Scott and I know I'm not the oldest here but I'm most likely in the running:).  I'm 41, married and have 2 great kids, Erik 17, and Arianna 9.  My son plays on Layo as well, most know him as Beasty

I am one of many drones who do tech support and sys admin stuff for a govt. agency.  I've been hooked on computers since 79 and haven't been able to be far from them since then.

I think I first started RPGs back in 77 or 78 and played a lot of PnP for the next 10 years before I got married drifted away from PnP.

I mostly stayed out of RPGs until they appeared on computers and I was back in them till now.  The online part of that started with Diablo and D2 where I eventually got bored of the lack of any depth of play.

I then came to Layo.....late 2002 I think it was.  I soon met some fantastic Rp'ers in Layo. Orth and OneSt8 being among them who really helped me out when I started here.  I've met so many fantastic people since then and that's what makes this such a great place!
