Hey all, I have been pondering for a while now to make this post, and here it finally is.1. Stuttering mouse, sluggish game altogether.Solution: Go to options -> video options -> advanced video options. This makes NWN's own display settings take preference from your NVidia / ATI drivers, and voila, your mouse moves like in any other game now and the slugginess should be gone as well. I myself have this problem everytime I start the game or alt-tab back into the game after doing something else.2. Crash on alt-tabbing back to the gameSolution: This crash seems to be caused by something related to the mouse cursor. So, as simple as it is, do not move your mouse at all when alt-tabbing back into the game. Never had a crash after I realized this. One way to be sure (with optical mouse), is to lift the mouse from the mousepad / surface into the air, thus causing the cursor to not move when alt-tabbing.3. Greater Sanctuary fails to hide the playerThe spell Greater Sanctuary has a bug in it that seems to be related to invisibility spell.Apparently the AI checks first if your invisibility is up, and if you have both greater sanctuary and invisibility up at the same time, the AI does not comprehend this due to erroneous coding. The invisibility checks just fine, but if a True Seeing effect is upon the monster and and the game detects both invisibility and gsanc on your character, the attacking AI starts and the monster sees you, thus giving you hard time.Solution: Do not use invisibility at the same time as greater sanctuary, furthermore, highlight your character on the screen with your mouse by hovering the cursor on your character (not the portrait, but your toon) each time you enter a new area. You'll notice that your character is purple in colouring after entering a new area, but the purple glow around him does not appear unless you mouse-over your toon. After I started doing these both, I have not had any attacks while gsanced. Sometimes a creature with True Seeing turns at you, but the attack AI does not kick in due to you not having invisibility up at the same time.
A broad and taller-than-most-of-his-ilk dwarf in golden armor has been seen and heard talking in the taverns of southern mistone, to some associates (they could have been , who knows right?) of his about a trip to the deep under Belinara. Mithril, they say is the goal. Sheesh, such fools will only get themselves gutted by a beast or beast-elf. *Laughter erupts*
Hello all, been a long time since I last posted to these forums.I have been recurring online at Layo for some minor streaks, and a thought occurred to me of arranging a trip to the Great Spikes to explore the regions with Görmungard, and wanted to ask who wants to come with me/him? :)The place is level 25-35 or something like that (recommendation), even the bears are tough as nails (yes, they might have cast-iron nails for nails and have got pretty tough hides too.)If a goodly amount of goody-two-shoes' can attend, this can be a fun venture for sure. And a long one, something like 4-6... 7(?) hours, or it might be made into a two-times event. Unfortunately that would have to mean we'd need to sit our characters there for yet-to-be undefined amount of time.Them blubbering giants won't know what hit them.
Greetings and well met again. And sorry for the advertising spam already (I hope it is alright, since this hasn't got to do with PC games, or games in general).A fellow I met a few years back at some LARPs, asked me if I was interested in playing a part in a short film of his, called Sympathy For Count Dracula, which portrays the life of the common finn who has no chance on getting work, has to "rob" grocery stores' dumpsters to keep himself fed and so forth (yes it is reality), yet the common finn happens to be Count Dracula.I thought about it for a few minutes and agreed.I play the part of a over-ambitious janitor of some apartment building complex, and well, if you want to see it, I presume it will come available in some form or the other, maybe even near-ish you. Anyhow, and sorry for this, which does not fit into this website, for it is a Facebook link. Yet I think it is the only format to check the procedure and news about the flick.Anyhow, here goes,https://www.facebook.com/SympathyforCountDracula Everyone have a wonderful time, ya hear? :)Timo K. I would like to recruit fellow adventurers again for a journey, this time three journeys actually, but at different set dates.
1) The Lost Clan's stronghold and their secrets, Sunday 17th of February, 6pm GMT
2) The Giants and their King, Sunday 10th of February, 6pm GMT
3) The Elves and their tomb, Sunday 24th of February, 5pm GMT

*Görmungard is once again organizing a journey to honor the Battle Father and to cull down more nefarious creatures, to plunder their riches and to acclaim glory*
*This time he wishes to go to the Great Spikes region north of Krashin*
Link to Calendar
Location: The Great Rift, Central, City at bottom, right past the bridges.
Description: The first spawn at the Great Rift's city has given 5-6 mages per spawn lately with the current server being "up". The first time Unther and Dan Hardhammer went there (Rift was untouched, traps and all that), the spawn worked as usual.
Having 5-6 mages in the spawn pretty much makes it impossible for any level 20-ish party to cross the place alive, what with them having premonition and tossing 40-60 damage dealing Meteor Showers and Horrid Wiltings in unison.

"Aye, last toime we took down some demons an' the like! Was good fun, until Ellis fell, but we 'ad eh scroll to bring her back, loike."
"Now oi want ter assault some brigands foirst, then we be sailin' their boat to an Glitterin' Island off-shore west o' Belinara 'n' take down kenku 'n' some dark cultists! Good fun!"
"Will be glory, riches 'n' action!"
"... Foine, ye can 'ave some brandy *sighs*"
*By a fireside, Görmungard recounts the past valiant and dangerous efforts he and the groups he has organized up have undertaken in the recent times.. When an idea comes to the old dwarf's perhaps otherwise dulled head*
By Vorax! Oi know what to do next... Have ye folks heard of.. the Shadow Temple on Belinara? At Orsgaunt Mountains? HA! Oi knew ye've heard of it, bloimey. Been there on a couple o' toimes, found a magical troll ear too!
Aye, it be not just a temple, but there be some koinda freakish portal 'n' things made from billowin' shadow 'n' darkness beyond! What a sight to see, and what a gleeful thing to put to the axe!
Oi know some pansies moight think a shadow cannae be cleaved with an axe, but oi'll tell ye otherwise, it can!
*With a grunt he rises to his feet and grins*
Who will come with me? Eh?
This would be the OOC discussion thread about two different player events, mostly including battle, exploration and of course hearty RP amid the both.
Event 1: The Frozen Lands and Beyond. Great Spikes
Destination: The frozen lands near K'halziras, on West. The land of ice, satyrs, wolves, drakes.. and of course, frost giants.
To go beyond to the mountain range? OF COURSE!
Event 2: The Thunder Peaks.
Destination: The Thunder Peaks north of Dalanthar (Central), but: the giants, or the dwarven ruins? Which one? Decisions, decisions.
Let me and others know which one would suit you, yourself best.
Weekday EDT (starting from 2pm to 4pm...)
Weekend EDT (starting from 2pm to 4pm...)
And here is the RP thread.
*Görmungard has been musing around about the glory of battling frost and ether giants alike, and at one point, he smacks his beer mug on the table and bellows that by Vorax he'll organize a journey to both lands, to wage war on them*
"Argh! Who will join meh?! 'tis a grand venture oi assure ye! Riches! Plunder! War! GLORY!"
//OOC thread for these, here
