Rumour Has It / Re: What happened to Vale?
« on: May 20, 2019, 03:07:10 pm »
Jo's face hardens, "The Bird Lord, yes.  That was the one druid whose name came up more than once.   We searched in vain for him for quite some time, calls were put out, but he never came, no word came back.  Again, perhaps it was our failure not his.  We did not know precisely how to reach him or if he was reachable.  If you think you know how to reach him, please do so." With an obvious effort of will, Jo forces his features back into a semblance of his friendly self.  "Forgive me, a band of us had hope for Vale as you do and worked hard for a time to improve it.  I am still bitter at the failure.  You're story of Hallowlight gives me some hope.  I have seen life return to that once cursed place."

Naldin is directed toward Jo Poetr by those in Center.  After a few days Jo himself is seen at the fire.  He tells of months of efforts on the parts of many with him to restore Vale mostly by physical clean up and encouraging the local flora with quantities of imported bat poo, but they were unable to secure the help of a powerful druid and thus unable to remove the deep land curse.  Vale remains the same.  Dispirited the small band wandered off after a period of time.

//only forum entries where a few character development entries at the attempt.  My recollection was we were told something about a curse, but not much else was done or pursued by dm's or players - we sort of just dispersed,  so the effort died on the vine, literally.

Layonara Server / Player list
« on: May 12, 2019, 07:21:51 am »
I'm noticing there's none of that unknown or whatever else is shown on the player list from the anonymous craze we had before and I got to say, I prefer it that way.  What's the point of getting to know other players when you can't id them ig and send them a friendly tell without finding them ig and doing an introduction?  Anyway, my two pence on the subject.  I really hope to never see that particular feature  implemented again.

Fixed Bugs / Re: Paladin Warhorses not Dismounting
« on: May 01, 2019, 05:15:31 pm »
Okay, more paladin warhorse oddness.  I think..*lowers his voice looking around for invisible hoofprints* I think my horse might be a wizard.  He's invisible.  I heard him running toward me when I blew my whistle, but I couldn't see him.  I felt his breath //saw his name with Tab// but I couldn't touch him.

« on: April 30, 2019, 03:24:46 pm »
Think it's all sorted, Orth. Thank you very much!

Only oddity I noticed(might not be too. *shrug*) was Daniel's horse, Edward the Second, was staked by the fire in Center while I was on as Jo.  Realized you moved my original post on this to bugs..

The Silver Buckle / Re: Footsteps
« on: June 13, 2018, 09:06:43 pm »
An indifferent shrug, "Dunno, I've gone ta ground meself, was jest eyeballin a mark some fine upstandin gent with a big bag a I was scouting the docks an saw some movement through yer window, had a way in an here I am. "He looks intently at a torn hangnail on his right index finger before squinting at Mister Andy and biting the offending bit off, " Ta be blunt as a shovel ta the face, it's neither good nor bad, it's nothin.. So um, what's brings ya back ta the Buckle? "

A piece of shadow slides from a nearby alley and quickly ascends to a window, a few moments later the faintest of footfalls is heard first in the kitchens then approaches, "Boss?" muffled around a mouthful of somewhat stale piece of pie is heard.

« on: March 24, 2017, 12:58:37 pm »
In the Angels Guild forums, bulletin board threat, I was asked to attempt to make this staff.  Problem is one ingrediant is listing at 'silence' and from my work the silence spell isn't it.  Can I get some clarification on what this component is exactly? Thanks.

« on: October 29, 2016, 10:48:17 pm »
Player: IconoclasticCharacter: Jenna Gale Jenna Gale was voted as a probationary member and will need access to the Angels Guild Forums.  At one time I think as a forum admin I was able to approve this, but it seems to me last time I tried, I could not and needed a dm. Jenna will verify her membership as well on this thread if needed.  Can we have this taken care of please?  Thank you. cbnicholson

The two were spotted near the gate of Prantz, Daniel fully loaded with picks.  They are overheard speaking of going through the Forests of Mists, traveling to the desert, then on to a troll cave before making their way to Dalanthar.//cnr run for the Angels guild, Guild keeps the cnr of silver, fire opals, sapphires, and silver.  Rest can be split.  Room for 3 more if anyone wants to meet up outside Prantz gate at 6 pm central time.  Any levels, but 10+ recommended, good idea to be at least neutral to the Tyrant, Rofirein. :P This is a needed run and outside the usual forum rp of the plague.

Rumour Has It / Guild run
« on: May 20, 2016, 03:52:28 pm »
The golden armored figured stepped from the portal outside Prantz and looked around cautiously before making his way quickly past the outer gate.  As no wards were visible, he felt no searching eyes on him as he passed.  Once outside, he smiled warmly at a beautiful woman of some elvish blood who appeared next to him in with a word. "Good of you to make it on such notice, dear.  I do hope you are wearing your dancing shoes because we have a long way to go."**Lana and DB are heading out to Troll Central, then on to the rift for sapphires, diamonds, cobalt, and addy.  Anyone is welcome to join us but be aware of divine limitations (Rofirein) and please , no levels below 15.  This is a guild run for cnr so we'll share true, but not perhaps(depending on luck) cnr. 6 p.m. start cdt.

Just for Fun / Daniel is accosted by ruffians in the bad streets of Vehl.
« on: October 01, 2015, 01:38:59 pm »
It looked bad, some twenty street thugs had him cornered behind the Harpy.  Daniel drew his sword and put his back to the outer stone wall looking for the guards, of course,  they never were around when you needed one, eyeing the bravest five as they too drew and moved closer. "Put down your arms now and walk away and you will not receive the rewards promised by the Gods ." He said grimly, hefting his giant shield up to block most of his left side. The lead ruffian laughed, "That's why we're here, Rofie." he said snidely spitting at Daniel's feet.  "We want those double fortune points."
