General Discussion / Continents, Islands, and Realms
« on: August 01, 2007, 04:41:18 pm »
So, I took a look at the Layonara maps today (smashing good job by the by) and I noticed that names have changed, realms have been added, and it seems to me there are more (and yet less) islands and continents than before.

With that said, my question is this. What's the deal guys? I leave and everything changes? Do you think this is funny? Is this some kind of joke to you? *cough* On a more serious note, I was wondering if there's any sort of rough description that can be given about these places for possible character submissions. Obviously Mistone is still a pretty safe place, but Dregar, the continent that was at one time Rilara, things like that. Are there "safe" realms and "unsafe" realms or are they all pretty much potato potatoe, and would one need to know anything about the rulers of these realms. Just a' wonderin.

Introduce Yourself / *cough cough*
« on: July 24, 2007, 09:12:21 pm »
Heya Folks,

Not sure how many old timers that I know are still around, but I thought I'd drop in and hit the Forum with a quick thread anyway. Life sorta took off without me a while ago and I'm trying to track it down... bugger's pretty elusive though. ;) Just thought I'd give props to whoever is keeping things going on the GM and Content side of things now adays. It's a very large and demanding job and one that I always respected.

I also wanted to say that out of all the entertainment and media (music, movies, TV, or literature) that I've ever come in contact with, Layonara has had the most profoundly positive effect on my life. I started playing here when I was thirteen. I'm seventeen now and two of the most important things I've learned in life, that I attribue to Layonara, are moderation and the power of dreams. I was always allowed, even encouraged to let my imagination run away with me here. It's allowed me to drift off to places I didn't know existed, to keep my sanity in real life, and to approach everything from a different angle. It was good for me.

Layonara's a peaceful oasis in a busy and harsh world. That's not to say that it can shelter you from it. But, as it did for me, it can refresh you, maybe even teach you something, and ready you to face it again. I miss all of the friends I left behind with I stopped playing, I wanted to say that, and I wish everyone who's still here the best of luck with everything. Keep it going guys; maybe you'll affect someone else like me.

Long Live Layonara!

General Discussion / Computer is MIA *sob*
« on: December 02, 2006, 06:59:45 am »
Tonight was going to be my first quest in quite a long while. As it stands though, it looks likeI might not make it. Took the computer in to get a couple drives replaced (I didn't want to try it my self and mess something up) and they decided that they couldn't get to it right away and would call us when its ready. Figured I'd have it back the same night, which, obviously I don't. To top things off, an essay that's due tomorrow was on that computer so I'm going to have to rewrite it just incase it doesn't get back in time to send in. Lucky me.
Might still be there if God decides to wink at me... who knows.

General Discussion / Back from a Short Hiatus
« on: November 19, 2006, 06:22:08 pm »
So, this past weekend (Ie: Early Saturday morning to about an hour or two ago) I was at a retreat (incase anyone tried to get a hold of me er sumthin). I was going to post about it before it happened but I figured no one would miss me for two days.
Anyway, in my life I've been to four retreats (all of them in the past YEAR). All of them were amazing and needless to say, I'm in a pretty spakin mood. I have a shirt from the retreat entitled "Extreem Back Talker," a sweet Hippy Tie-dye shirt that I will wear with all of the gaudy pride it is due, and mad skills that I've picked up over the past 36 hours.
Anyone ever heard of a game called fire-cracker? Pretty much just holding hands with someone (so that your fingers are curled around their hand in between their thumb and forefinger... think gangsta) and then you take turns slapping each other's hands until someone gives up. Both hands are bruised but with No Wins, No Losses, and Three Ties I'm feeling pretty good.
Also, it turns out I've been throwing a football wrong for the past many years. Played baseball for eleven years and had a pretty strong arm but when I threw a football, it just wouldn't spiral. It's amazing what simply adding another finger to the laces will do for your throw.
Anyway, no one's really interested in this. I guess I'm just really excited about it is all. But I'm back and ready to get back in the action. Nice to know that my Destiny was Await-ing me while I was away. I'd be sad if I came back and it had left or something. Seriously.

General Discussion / Layonara on Wikipedia
« on: November 11, 2006, 07:15:25 am »
Thought I'd post this here in the public forum instead of just sending it as a PM incase someone besides Leanthar can explain this to me buuut... I just checked up on the Layonara Wikipedia post and apparently they've tagged it for deletion in five days unless it's "improved" according to their deletion policy. I guess I just sorta wanted to point this out and see if you guys knew.

Just for Fun / Who Here Can Bust a Move?!
« on: September 16, 2006, 11:10:52 am »
So, I checked out Lunchboxkilla's little post with that YouTube video centered around Don't Stop Me Now by Queen and it got me thinkin... actually, I was already thinkin but it make me think to post about it so here goes.
They played that song last night at the first dance I've ever been to (you know and actually participated in, usually I'm just organizing n' such). Whew. I danced, mostly because I just decided that for one night I didn't care whether I looked stupid or not and man did I have a good time. So what I want to know is, now that I find my self addicted to dancing, who here can dance and what style is your favorite?! :) Weeeee! *running on three hours of sleep in the past 32 hours*
*sings* Shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your... you know you make me want to shout, kick my heels up and shout... well you can tell by the way I use my walk I'm a woman's man, no time to talk... dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine oh yeah... Y! M! C! A!... it's electric...

General Discussion / Quick Question
« on: September 11, 2006, 03:14:59 pm »
So, I was reading over the Forum a lot today (the fan on my main PC died and that's where all of my games and writing material are so I have a bit of time on my hands) and I kept reading the word Pranzt. Well, it took me long enough to figure out it was Pranzis and I just can't help wondering, "Is this intentional?" Did the psycho dwarf rename the city or is it just a nice little abreviation that's stuck? Am I going crazy or has the spelling simply dropped off in the Layo community? What is the deal people?! :)
Thank you. Have a nice evening.

I would like to take a moment to prove that Jimmy Fallon is one of the greatest, if not, the greatest, comedians to leave SNL over the past 10 years. If you'll all please pay close attention...
  Exhibit A
  Exhibit B
  And to close the deal...
  Exhibit C

General Discussion / See You All This Winter
« on: September 04, 2006, 07:33:02 am »
Hey Everyone,
As most of you who know me have probably noticed, I've been MIA for several weeks... months even. If you're wondering why, well, it's quite simple. First, there are problems with time. Second, there are problems with computer availibility. Third, I don't feel like I get out of Layonara as much as I used to. (On a playing level.)
I still slink around the Forum and am working on some writing. I do NOT plan on leaving but I also don't plan on playing more often any time soon. I suppose at this point I'm waiting for NWN 2 (assuming it goes off as planned) or a new Campaign to start. I'd like to publicly apologies to everyone in the Arcane Alliance, especially those who've stuck it out and put so much time and effort into it. We tried hard in the beginning and some pushed even harder than ever up till now, I just don't have any "try" left in me. I'm sorry to say, I'm done. Tath is done.
I want to apologies to L, the GM and Content Teams and all my friends here for leaving (or at least not playing and staying so quiet) for so long and without warning. It was rude and it's something that I wish I could undo. I very much hope to remain an active member of this community as it has done more to develop my life than I ever could have hoped for.
That being said, I want to say "Good Luck" to those who continue to work toward the development of Layonara. I want to say "Play On" to those who find the realistic yet illusiory reality of Layonara a gem in a sea of stones. And to everyone else I want to say, I'll see you in game this winter.
Look for me on the Forum, ZV-

General Discussion / I'm Back
« on: July 15, 2006, 08:02:24 am »
Well, I'm back and after spending five days with six people I knew and about a hundred that I didn't, I can honestly say I've had a life changing experiance. It was an amazing time and I don't think I could ever sufficently put into words just how great it was. I'm sore beyond belief and ended up sleeping in this morning (which I NEVER do) so I don't think I'll be around much during the weekend. Mostly resting and reading, but I'll be back next week and all will be right with the world... though I'll be considerably more happy than I usually am (hard to believe right?). So, yeah. w00tness!

General Discussion / Camp for the Week
« on: July 08, 2006, 08:13:44 am »
To all my Layonara Peeps:
I'm going to be out of town... err... towns... all of them, at a camp from Monday - Friday. No internet, no TV, no computers, no phones (not even cellphones allowed). No electronics of any kind. All I get to bring is a book and clothingand I thoroughly expect it to be freaking awsome. I'll be around tomorrow (Sunday) and possibly a smidgen on Monday (but just Forum work for the latter) so if there's anything you think you might need to contact me about do it now or suffer the consequences! Err... suffer the wait, I meant to say suffer the wait...
Take care. Don't let the Evil guys in while I'm gone. Peace ya'll. ZV-

The Silver Buckle / Arcane Brotherhood
« on: July 06, 2006, 12:53:33 pm »
*Tathnolu walks into the Freelancer's Tavern in dazzlingly bluetrousers, shirt, jacket, boots, gloves and hood and nods to Seteece before tacking up a few notices near the bar and the front door. Before leaving he tosses Seteece a small purse of coins andsnatches a bottle of aged apple cider on the way out. The notice is written in a thin, spidery calligraphy; those of you who are not terribly apt readers may have to squint to even see that the notice is written in common and not elven or some form of ancient runes.*
  To whom is may concearn,
The Arcane Brotherhood has been a dormant Guild for quite some time, however, with the fall of Sinthar Bloodstone, the recent catastrophe in Pranzis, the blanket of ash that blinkets the sky and the return of Chromatic Dragons we have thought it prudent to redouble our efforts of turning this Guild into a fully functional Arcane Academy to accomodate the learning of all Arcane users.
The council that heads the organization has decided to begin holding regular classes and outtings to study the many varieties, uses, misuses, powers and mysteries of Arcane magic and the Weave in general. Many of these classes will be "open-house" that any may attend with the Approval of the Teacher or Lector conducting the class. One such class will be held quite soon at the Arcane Brotherhood's tower in Port Hampshire, Mistone. Times will be announcedand posted on the front doors of the tower.
It is time for Arcane magic users to come together and share the knowledge they possess. The world is in chaos and we must not allow our knowledge to sink into oblivion. For further information contact, Lia Dimaki'ir, Tathnolu of Hampshire, Ralinda Allisan or Connor Garvill. Thank you and enjoy your stay at the Freelancer's Tavern! (Try the apple pie, it's delicious.)
  Signed, Tathnolu
//We're going to ressurect this guild, though I'm not sure if you could say it was alive to begin with. It will focus mostly on RP, though some minor crafting will be involved and you may not even have to spend hours collecting the ingredients if we work together on this. Please consider this, it will be our last effort to keep the guild alive. Please check the Calender for dates of Classes.

General Discussion / Gm Assistance: Sunday the 2nd
« on: July 01, 2006, 07:52:19 pm »
If any GM would be availible, tomorrow, Sunday, the 2nd, I would appreciate it. I'd rather not post the specifics of it on the forum, however, there will be an RP "session" between my character and another which may result in minor PvP to PKing and I do not want to do it without a GM to sanction it. We'll be doing the RP at 8:00am EDT (5:00am PDT/2pm BST). It won't last long, half an hour to an hour tops. We'll be meeting on Central, just "Jump" to Tathnolu, my character.
  Thanks! ZV-

Entry #1
  The Fall of Pranzis
What happened prior to our battle from within Pranzis hadlittle baring on the outcome of the battle in its self so I will spare any future readers the bore of hearing howwe sang and talked of war and valor before the largest battle of our lives. I will spare you the bore of hearing how we oranigzed our units before leaving Lorindar. Last, I will spare you the bore of reciting who I fought with. Names are not important, only the acts are. Let's skip ahead then...
We had separated our units into four troops. One at the Main Gate (West), one at the East Gate, one in the Merchant's Quarter and a small group at the Citadel to guard in the event of a breech. I, of course, was at the West Gate when the siege actually started. We were awaiting at the gates, the rumbling thud of thousands of dwarven boots, like the rolling and crashing of a mammoth wave or a low gutteral earthquake weaved it's way through the city. Fear struck the soldiers, gripping their minds with it's skeletal fingers as a booming voice struck through the city, "I am the herald for General Boerger who demands your unconditional surrender. It is unnecessary that lives be lost. Surrender and you will be spared."
I expected the self proclaimed "heroes" to hold fast and stand their ground against Bloodstone's General and was pleasently surprised to see that I had recieved nothing less than selfless courage as my ally in the battle. Though I care not for Pranzis to prosper, the war affects all beings of Layonara on one level or another and my people, however deep they dwell, are no exception. It may be in our best interest to have the city in the hands of Lord Boerger at this time, yet had Bloodstone not been killed it would have left him with a firm hold on the surface, thus at the time it was all I could do to attempt to fend off the General.
The voice boomed through the city upon recieving our answer and instructed us to await our deaths. As I have already stated, I was at the West (Main) Gate when the siege actually began. The walls of Pranzis were besieged with what seemed magic but could have most certainly been trebuches or catapults; I was not in a position to desphier which it was. Our barred gates held only so long however, and soon after the beginning of the assault they were breeched. With Matilda and Varka holding the front lines they had no chance of breaking through, the walls however, were already beginning to weaken and the troops were slowly becoming more and more demorilized as they began to understand our predicament.
Soon after the first assault, I was approcahed by Katrien Hommel and Varka Cleavesonwho insisted thatI help them both; Katrien, to helpher song's inspirational melodiesto reach more of the city and Varka, to help alott him magical protections that would grant him strength while fighting the General, whom he was to sneak out into theenemy encampmentto face. I helpedVarke first and then turned my attention to the morecomplex situation of Katrien's.It took several hours but after examining some arcane syllables for different "sounds" and percieving what the correct spell component would be, I was able to allow her song to permeate the entire city.
Not long after I finished the spell, we were once again beset by the grizzly beast that wasthe dwarven war machine. The soldiers of Pranzis could only look on in horror as aterrible phalanx of dwarven war axes, dripping with acidapprocahed our walls with fear of neitherelf norman nor death. It was a close and costly battle, one that lasted for hours, but eventually Matilda and her soldiers turned back the dwarven lines. It was at this time though that what little moral was left slipped through our fingers; the lifeless body of Varka was hurled back overwhat was left of our walls.
Our healers did what they could and were able to ressurect him, however the damage was done. It had been several days at this point, since the siege had started; our walls were weakening to the point where our archers could no longer patrol the ramphearts in places and towhere there were visible gaps in others, what few soldiers we had left were tired from lack of sleep, food and almost constant medical attention to the wounded and the civilians were of no help in the matters of war. Our "leaders" began to speak of what action would be taken next. Several people wanted to break the siege and assault LordBoerger's troops in the open, however, after some scrying done by Rhynn and my self with the aid of Katrien and Freldo, we realised that that was simply not an option.
It was decided that we would, instead, try to hold out against another assault before considering breaking the siege. Our walls still gave us an advantage against their greater numbers and to forgoe the use of such an advantage would have been foolish. Before the next assault was mounted by Lord Boerger's troops I left to check on the East Gate. It seemed what I arrived that they were doing well, however I quickly learned that they did have some problems early in the battle and were forced to fall back to a line of overturned wagons. It was apparently the quick thinking of a man named Pyyran, who manned a ballista after the first assault, that kept the East Gate standing strong.
It was perhaps half an hour before the third and what would become the final assault on Pranzis that I recieved a message from Matilda instructing me to send the commanders of the East Gate to her after our next fight. That was not to be. The Merchant's Quarter was breeched and those who defended it were forced to fall back to the East Gate. We made a stand there and were able to hold them off expecting at any moment for the East Gate its self to become flooded with troops. We were surprised to find that General Boerger had, instead, funneled more troops to the West Gate and mounted a heavy assault on it, leaving the East Gate alone entirely. The West gate fell and a flood of demons and dwarvestrampled through to our hold. I vaguely remember the command for retreat being called as I, in Slaad form, held off several demons at a time. We retreated to the Guild's District and observed our enemy as they reorganized for a final assault.
East Gate, West Gate, Merhcant's Quarter, all fallen. We fought our way, tooth and nail, though the Guild's District, making LordBoerger pay for every inch of ground he gained. Dwarves, rogues, masterfully crafted undead, a demons such as succubi and maraliths flooded the streets killing those who stood in their way. Pranzis had fallen.

General Discussion / Class Discussion
« on: June 27, 2006, 07:26:27 am »
Some of the people of Layonara seemed to have lost their voices due to a phobia over the past year or so, in recent days I would say they have found it and are not afraid of speaking out any more (note I said phobia and not fear). Harloffs post was an interesting one but the thread that pertains to it has gotten off track a bit and seems to have become strictly a class discussion. So I've decided to make this post so that people actually know what we're talking about. If you feel like changing the subject in this thread please restrain yourself and make a new one for your new topic. Thank you.
Wizards: Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells; everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar; a small, magical, creature that serves her.- (Pulled from NWNWiki.)
There have been several posts made in recent days that seem to point toward an imbalance in power between Clerics, Wizard and other classes. *Blows a trumpet blast* I have decided to come to their rescue. As we read above, wizards can, "use their spells to devastating effect." Notice that it doesn't say devastating to enemies, simply devastating. What does that mean? Well it means I COULD use Meteor Swarm in a party but then I'd have all 5 of my alotted PK tokens in a span of six seconds. That sort of rules out that spell for Party use doesn't it?
Wizards have their pros and cons; butfrom level 1-10 Fighters rule, it's as simple as that. Wizards have few spells to choose from and even fewer to cast. They have spell components to deal with until level 12 (and then 18), which significantly reduces the number of spells they can select or cast (for fear of running out of components). From about level 12 to level 20, yeah, wizards can solo MUCH better than most of the classes out there. Put them in a group with a cleric and a few fighters though and they turn into a buff-monkey, using half of their spellslots for hastes, some for buffing spells and others just for spells to hold the enemy still while the fighters beat the snot out of them.
The biggest reason, I think, that so many see wizards as being imbalanced is because they are able to overcome the level 12-20 gap faster than fighters BECAUSE they don't need a party to get to as many places. So we'll break it down again. Level 1-11, fighters rule as they can solo or travel with another fighters and take out tons of stuff that a wizard or a couple wizards have no chance of. Level 12-20 Wizards rule because they are able to go places and kill things that fighters can't without magical help. Levels 21+, wizards and fighters rely on each other euqally. There are creatures that wizards simply cannot damage due to SR or Spell Absorption. Likewise there are creatures that neither can damage without a magical weapon or an arse-load of buffs AND an extremely skilled fighter to actually swing the pokey stick at it.
I'll give you one last example for wizards and just how vulnerable they can be. Tath did not cast a single damage inflicting spell during the entire Defense of Pranzis quest. Not one. Why didn't he cast them? Well the dwarves that we mostly fought were immuned to paralyzation (crosses off three spells), death magic (crosses off another few), mind affecting (crosses off several more) and the combat was so close that any remaining damage spells would have fried everyone. Thus the buff-monkey effect came into play. Fighters did all the work, wizards sat back and looked pretty.
So, I have defended my beloved class. Let's hear your thoughts on the topic, feel free to drag another class in (perhaps the class with more Epics than any other class *cough cough*).

General Discussion / Sorry Fellas
« on: June 26, 2006, 01:06:07 pm »
Well, I was on East with Enzo, Angela, Alantha, Ralinda, Storold, Syn and Jacchri. I had to leave and made a quick message about needing to go and about five seconds after, I crashed. It was possibly the most amazing timing I've ever seen as no one had the chance to respond and I didn't have time to explain OOC why I needed to go, but my PC didn't reconnect for about fifteen minutes and I figure you guys had moved on by then. Sorry though, hope I didn't hold you up or anything.

Just four months shy of of two years with Tath. I was elligible to submit for a WLDQ (then ECDQ) back in March err... no February. I didn't think I was ready back then, it was a busy time for the GM Team and now I'm glad I waited. So here it is.

  The Past 30 Years

Tathnolu Rilyn’val, of the Drow House Rilyn’val of the City of Olist Orbinn, arrived on the surface of Layonara in the year 1374. Since that time his life has been little more than a constant whirlwind of mystery, danger, betrayal, excitement and enlightenment. Shortly after arriving on the surface, having honed his skills to match the change in environment (from the dank darkness of the Underdark to the open expanses of the surface) Tathnolu was able to convince a certain Rufus Coldfinger to mentor him. Over the next sixteen years, darkness followed Tathnolu’s life.
Apprenticing to the notorious and nefarious Necromancer, Tathnolu learned the art well; however, he never was quite able to master it. The relationship of Rufus and Tathnolu was a tense one; made so by the difference in race, age, experience, power and religion. Throughout the duration of his apprenticeship, however, Tathnolu made several strong alliances with Corathites such as a Priestess of Corath and a young Corathite Palemaster.
Several years before his apprenticeship ended, Tathnolu thought it prudent to acquire less conspicuous companions and thus began strong and enduring “friendships” with great heroes such as Derrick Loadson, Quin, Michaelis Draego, Gloin, Rurik Kessel and Celgar Mangus. As is the drow way, he betrayed both his good and evil companions, leaking information about them to each other without ever breaking his cover. (To this day he retains the trust of many of his old companions.)
After being released from his apprenticeship, Tathnolu began to form relationships with other prominent wizards such as Oholibama, Elinmire, Ralinda, Alantha and Lia. He quickly trained himself in the art of scribing and became, next to Brac’ar Fireface, one of the most prominent scribes of the adventurers of Hlint.
It was not until ten years ago that he began his quest, with the help of Elinmire, Lia, and Ralinda, to open an Arcane School in the hopes of spreading the knowledge of arcane, building a reputation and acquiring surface power and acclaim for his later mission. Years it took for the construction to be complete, but Lia and Ralinda overseeing the construction, the foundation and structure of the school’s hierarchy laid down by Elinmire and the massive amount of Tathnolu’s own gold that went into funding the tower, it was soon complete.   To contrast his outstanding contribution to Port Hampshire, Tathnolu also engaged in other “dark” activities during this time. After he was released from his apprenticeship, he was later called back by his former master, Rufus Coldfinger to aid in a plot by the Black Wizards. The details of this plot are sketchy to this day, however, it is thought that the quest, whether Tathnolu impacted it at all or not, greatly affected the outcome of the war against Sinthar Bloodstone (for better or worse).
Tathnolu also took part in various other missions run by the Mistone Alliance and other military organizations to fend of Bloodstone; missions such as Operation Bloodfall to take back the fallen Kingdom of Roldem and emissary missions to The Long Storm to speak about a dragon alliance. Possibly the greatest of Tath’s missions, however, was the battle at Pranzis against Sinthar’s General, Lord Broegar.
It is uncertain where Tathnolu is headed in his future or how he will get there however his ambitions have been renewed in sight of the recent chaos that reigns in the wake of Blood’s defeat, and few still stop his from achieving them.   Other Noteworthy Accomplishments:
Tathnolu has been with a group to mine titanium, adamantium, cobalt, mithril, diamonds, and yew. He has seen no less than three dragons. He has (again) built a tower, raising all 1’050’000 gold himself through crafting. He donated over 100’000 gold in gold and items to the Mistone Alliance during their war collection. He has donated over 700’000 gold in gold and items to the Church of Ca’duz (making it to Olist Orbinn in its self being an accomplishment). Also he is, to my knowledge, one of the only PCs ever to make it to the Forsaken Islands.  Future Plans:
My future plans for Tathnolu are pretty “exciting to say the least”. He has spent quite a bit of time in Olist Orbinn as of late, and as I’ve RPed it “catching up on the times” in his home town. He’s taken to a bit of interest in the planes visiting the Abyss, Arborea, Mecha, and two other planes (the names of which I can’t rightly remember).  So what I was thinking is, well, simply put I’d like to attempt to gain a position in the city of Olist Orbinn with Tathnolu. Perhaps a master of an Arcane Academy there and use his surface status as incentive. (Ie: He has a base for the drow to work out of on the surface, he has resources, renown and power so he’s ready to persuade, buy or kill his way into a position.)
On the planes he would be interested in possibly apprenticing to a Devil (not a demon). Or simply finding a way to travel the planes, hopefully making his way to the negative energy plane and finding some way to harness its energy in an object such as a staff or ring. Perhaps find a way to continuously tap it’s energy so that he no longer has to draw from Lucinda’s Weave but from another energy source when he casts.
That’s what I’ve got but again I’d be open to suggestions if I’m approved for this. I’ll have time to do this between now and August. After that, weekend evenings will only work for me but this is something I’m committed to doing so I’ll find a way to make them and get it done.  Thanks for reading! (Oh and I just want to say, should I not be approved, I will hold no hard feelings. There’s been too much of that going around and I’m sure there ARE other people better qualified for WLDQs than I. Cheers!)

General Discussion / Summer Activities
« on: June 19, 2006, 02:17:54 pm »
Well, my summer thus far has been deathly boring but it's finally picking up. All this week (starting earlier today until Friday) I will be attending a Driver's Ed course during the day. It's from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and I get homework and all that junk. So I'll be doing 35 hours of classroom stuff for driving and that will take up most of my time. (So don't expect to see/hear from me much *cough* Ed *cough*)
After that I'll have two weeks where the only things I"ll have to worry about will be running, swimming and applying for some classes at a community college in the fall (they count toward my HS and College credits so it's all good). Thus, after this week I should be around for tons of fun.
After those two weeks I'll be gone for another Monday - Friday week at Camp. Five days four nights of blissfull relaxation, nine-square (not four... nine!), dodgeball, swimming and getting in touch with my spiritual side. *sitscross legged and places the palms of his hands together*Oooooam!
From there I get Yucky (I'll explain later) and have a vacation toward the end of July. After which time school will start (Mid August). So there will be a couple week to two week long periods where I'll be around. I'll try to get as much done (writing team) in that time as I can and entertain (player and RP Awards) as I can as well. Cheers for a, finally, exciting summer!

Just for Fun / Race Poll
« on: June 16, 2006, 06:47:53 pm »
Right so, same rules as the Alignment Poll, check it first if you don't know the "rules". I don't have all the races and I had to double up on a few, but it's the best I could do with only twenty slots.

Just for Fun / Alignment Poll
« on: June 16, 2006, 03:54:29 pm »
I've been thinking it'd be interesting to sort of get a tally of what the Alignments, Races and Deity followers are, so this is the first of three polls on this topic. You may vote only as many times as you have active characters (I know I butchered that descriptions). If you have five characters, five votes is what you get. No going back to past or Permed characters to vote for them. This is sort of for my own amusement. Also, if you have a character that you NEVER and I mean NEVER play, don't vote for him/her.
  Peace!
