Although I disagree that an Offical Campaign drives the sales of a product. Multi-Player and Massive community support is what drove Sales for Bioware. What disturbs me is that it is my hope that Obsidion don't cave into pressure from folks to make the OC some wonder of creation and neglect the multi-player aspects of DM Client and Builders Toolset because what you'll be left with is a couple hundred thousand WoW'ers Or Eq'ers going 'wow that was a nice 40 hour diversion, now back to the persistancy of my beloved WoW or EQ. If Obsidion make the OC rock but Multi - Player Sucky I will Unibomber them.] Peace Den

Well it may have been your first time solo GM'ing but it certainly didn't show! Loved the Puzzles and Riddles and laughed at things like well have you got the ingrediants? Another fantastic Quest that also reminded me of PnP days. Good Job. Thats 2 for 2 so far for me this week just more testimony to the brilliance of our GM team. Peace Den

Thank you for a refreshingly different Quest Orion. It was awesome! You are always going to have fun when you put Halflings and Pie together heh My favorite moments : Voon shoving Geddrin through the tower door. The fight with the trumpets after being shoved. The Cherry Pie Golem! RofL Getcha free pies at the Scamp!! LoLz I think Honora said it and I agree that was very close to some of my favorite PnP moments of yesteryear. The best thing about it was the Players had fun and the GM had fun too and thats what this is all about. Peace Den

As the fires swept through my village a piece of my soul fled and burned with those fires of ...ation. I vowed on the Katana I had won at the Rogues Fare that I would exact my revenge and let none stand in my path! I appeared before the mighty Dragon Spirit and vowed to stop Blood and his schemes. Upon arriving in Hlint I met the most curious man, although more then a man, a Birdman so to speak The Bird lord Plenarius Ashaley. We spoke and I payed homage to him although I didn’t quite understand who he was and what he was about, I told him I followed Katia and through her wisdom I hoped to achieve peace of spirit. He gave me a gift I will treasure always a Flag of Katia’s. I suddenly thought more about what it meant to follow the Great Mother and vowed only to use animals for food and then to either make use of myself or give to someone to make use of there skins and to the earth return there carcasses. I broke this vow because of another I made, to make training paramount. I did not care for the Noble spirit of the ancient Tree spirit who defends its grove nor the animal marking its territory. Even the plants I held no respect for.
All I cared about was burning revenge. I helped a lot of people out, I found a bard her necklace, an accountant her tax records, a weird looking half Orc his essence and many other things, I delivered mail and packages, I mined ore from the earth. None of these things made me feel clear of spirit, the burn for revenge still ate at me like a gut fly eating away at its host.
I have met new and wondrous people, like Serahlin the troubled young Girl with a heart of pure snow but a knack for violence that almost scares me and all the while she is as innocent as a new born and as sweet as honey. Gabby the tough Lady Warrior, with nerves of steel and a heart of gold. Anna Lee an extravagant beauty with long flowing red hair and an exotic smile, yet behind those smiles lays wisdom and intelligence, she also tells a good tale. Of greater interest is a group I have recently come to know as the ‘Farstriders’. From what I can tell they consist of Armolas a fine gentleman and a Ranger, from him I learnt logical tactics for fighting Jellies and a few things about mining. Jin Lun Lee, Master Lee is a Priest of Aeriden from what I can tell and he has many talents but from the little I know of him he is a good man and very friendly. Xandrian, Saved my hide down in the red Light caves and turned out to be a great companion even helping a young lass Sak’ura reunite her spirit. He reminded me that Honour and Duty are more then just words. Tegan, a lady of mystery to me thus far but a stout companion in battle and no doubt also socially from the way she commands respect. Renji. A fierce warrior yet with an almost roguish sense of humour, a man who is a stout companion in and out of battle.
There could be more members but I am at this point unsure. It is my hope that I can join there group and help them bring great good to the land. There are so many more good people I have met and some bad and most are great trail and battle companions.
A curious Dwarf named Grympint Bloodbeard had an engaging conversation with me and I have asked him if he could make a Bronzed Katana for me although I am reluctant to give up my prized one. He showed me and others his home in Lelion, a very quaint place too. Speaking of dwarves the more I seem to meet the more I like the stout folk, Ketilbjorn and Hilda are yet two more examples of the quality of the race.
Master Pang was right this world is full of mystery and it really is waiting for me and others like me, for we are the adventurers or fools, but I guess that all depends on your point of view.

For those of you new to Hlint, do not waste your good coin on expensive shields,armor and weapons from the local merchants, you need to save gold and I need the practice so Inquire with me as to the extent of my abilities, I can make shields, up to chain armor but with risk (may take time), and most basic weapons (also may take time). Like I said if new to hlint and looking for a bargain, save yourself some gold and put Sho Tan to work, Training afterall is paramount.

Also Looking for shield amulets, about 3 of them, just inquiring as to prices for the moment so I can save my coin, or if there is services you require like sand gahtering or glass ingot making that a I could perform for the goods let me know and I would be honored to complete this task for you. My apologies to the owner of the Ox which fell near the gate to the goblin wastelands. I was a ghost returning back the Mistone through the North Point Portal when 3 dwarf mercs and 2 halflings attacked my ghost! Now as I said I'm reaaaal sorry about your ox but I don't know anyone that would like to lose like 50k exp to some crud like that. Luckily I stabilised. A note to the clown/ s that appear to be drawing stuff back to Hlint, If Geddrin finds you I will be almost tempted to plant my Warhammer between your eyes! If it's a part of GM spot quest then apologies, I doubt it but because I don't really think A DM would allow an innocent PC to die a second time for something that wasn't due to his /her own stupidity.

For me it was CS Lewis. The wonder of having your imaginary world come alive so intricately appealed to me. Soon afterwards The Hobbit and Lotr sealed my fate. The first books that had anything to do with fantasy where you played a role where Lonewolf. Joe Dever was da bomb heh. Then I played a game called Dragon Warriors but it didn't take long to play D&D Basic as a .....Dramatic pause...Mage lol. His name was Dio Skysoul and he went all the way to immortal actually being taken prisoner in hell, about 20 years before Greenwoods novel Elminster in hell, and having to fight his way out. He eventually made it into ADD 2nd ED as a Mage/Paladin defender of the weave type like Lucindrites we have here. This amused me when i first saw it on this site and I have been actually tempted to play one but I kinda am reluctant to have come full circle so to speak and be back where I started from if you get my drift heh. Dio ended up retiring in our Campaign as one of King Azouns vassals, a minor Duke whose main castle was made of Bone from a huge battle he fought against Myrkul's Minions. The time of Troubles kinda let Dio off the hook, his nemesis being destroyed and all, so I guess since I haven't played him in like 17 years he just died of old age after fathering many half elves with his elven wife Verona. Ahhh the memories.....
So what got you started? Any fond memories of chars?

P.S: Dio was Wiz Generalist 20 / Pally 10 after ten yrs of gaming with the same group so yeah kinda puts Layo in to perspective a bit eh, we can't whine too loudly at the xp system of Layo, it is generous compared to my old GM as a teenager as it is ! LOL!

I was wondering, would it be too much of an imbalance to add in the future Giant sized two handed weapons? I envision something along the lines of them doing twice the damage of the normal counterpart but are two handed meaning no shield of course and only usuable by Giant sized Pc's? I just have visons of Dimmy waltzing down the street carrying a Great Axe that is bigger then any 2 normal humans hehe. Not that I am whining mind you HG's and HO's dish out alot of damage as it is but it is just an idea i had and thought about how HG's and HO's take such a int hit they have no chance of imp expertise or imp knockdown etc so they maybe could compensate by dishing out alot of damage but the down side is having no shield they will take alot of hits. So there is an up side and a down side to the implementation, maybe it is a bad idea too HG's i know for a fact dish out alot of pain as it is, but still can't get that image of a house sized axe outta my head lol.

If inviting two dwarves to a formal dinner party doesn't start you laughing then the plan that Bjornigar and Geddrin came up with will LOL I pretended to be drunk and forced myself to hurl all over One of the guards of the Host. Of course they all turned out to be bad guys and things got pretty nasty alot later but i think even those that fell will say fun for all.
Thanks Dezza for a great quest and the funny as heck Black Carriage i am still ROFL. Also of note was the funny chairs that made you feel like singing ..... The wheels on the bus go round and round..... LOL
