Bug Report
Description: Even though my character (Liasanya Whisperwind) has Eschew I, she still needs powdered carbon to cast the spell GMW (innate level 3, sorc also 3). With Eschew I, which negates spell components for spell levels 1-3, I should not need said component.
Location: Probably everywhere
Verified:
Reproducable: It happened on several occasions.

Description:I was introduced to the new saving/restoring spellbook feature. It is a great way to manage spells for different locations and/or group sizes. Switching to a saved spellbook works just fine. The spells I saved are all restored. The spells work just fine after the first rest.However, the problem is that after casting the affected spell and then resting again, some spells do not get restored. Checking the spellbook, the spells are shown as available, alas, if I try casting them using either the radial menu or by hotkeys, they are labelled as zero spells available (see screenshots attached).I think this has something to do with spells granted by the chosen clerical domains. My cleric, Valaria, has the domains good and animal. The spells that did not work for her (after switching a spellbook and resting after being cast) are:lvl 2 - Cat's Grace
lvl 3 - True Seeing
lvl 4 - Stone SkinI did not test lesser planar binding or polymorph self, but I think those will be affected as well.The other spells, not granted by her domains, were not affected by this bug.As a workaround I have to remove the domain spells after restoring a spellbook. Manually added to the spellbook, these do not seem to be bugged.Location:This will probably happen server wide. I only tested it in the Forest of FogsVerified: Reproducable:This occured on several occasions, so I'd say, yes. If more input is needed on how to reproduce the bug, feel free asking me.

Rumors are spreading around the town of Dalanthar that lately several young women, as well as children disappeared over night, leaving no hint about what happened.
Some say there was a dark creature walking around Dalanthar around midnight and that evil surrounded him.
Some others say demons took the children.
Some others even say that slavers broke into homes at night and took them.
Whatever the cause of this is, it has yet to be found out.
Citizens fear about their families now at night and keep everything locked, eying everyone who gets too close to their houses at night.

Oh yes, yet another suggestion related to rangers and I can already hear some of you moaning or protesting but this came up in my mind a few days ago. A few days ago I was travelling with my ranger around on west with my lvl 23 animal companion. As I was running around I got to know that my companion is not epic. It is a plain lvl 23 companion. So why would I complain, isn't it nice to have a companion at lvl 23? A useful fighter in combat? Well the companion is only useful these days as for RP. So I checked out how strong your average companion is. The lvl 3 ranger summon is a lvl 15 ancient dire wolf and it eats my lvl 23 companion for breakfast. It would even eat it when my companion was lvl 30, at least I assume so. We cannot deny rangers are the best fighters, may this be frontline or archering. The ranger itself is more or less a support class but the idea I have about others is that a ranger fights as a unit together with his companion. The problem just is that these die all to fast and often. A few hits and it is gone. Mind you that rangers cannot buff ther companions like mages and clerics buff their summons which are already stronger. Yes I know that summons are made stronger as they don't last that long. A companion stays until it is either death or gets unsummoned. But when a summon dies the mage simply shrugs and summons a new one, might buff it again and repeat the whole thing a few times while the ranger calls the companion once, it dies and the ranger has to wait around two hours until he can call it again in case the companion dies. So why not hand classes who can call a companion/familiar a feat so they can call an epic summon when they reach epic levels? This could be a free chosable feat so only if the player thinks it as useful he will have t chose it from a feat list at level-up. Not like 'Oh I am epic I will now get an epic companion' You will simply only get it when you spend a feat with it. I think it is kind of sad that we don't see rangers running around with their companions these days as it adds something to the world as well. Besides it would be something rangers could look forward to Imo it makes sense when a companion gets apic as well as both the ranger and companion can look back a long time of training and fighting together. So well, just a suggestion...?

Hey, first of all I would not really make this a public announcement but I feel like I should do it this time as it concerns my two series I am running at the moment, namely Restoration of Honor and Assasinations. From Monday the 23th July to Saturday the 28th July I am on my well deserved and way overdone vacations for 5 days in the Netherlands. No worries to the dutch players here, I wont come by and bug you *winks* Why the short notice? To be honest I was asked yesterday by a friend as if I am interested to join them there. After some considerations I decided to tag along as I know all of them and it sounds fun. So we are off to some camping somewere in the Netherlands at the North Sea. Sadly I have to announce that due to lack of internet and computer I wont be able to run Assasinations on Thursday night and Restoration of Honor on Friday night. As for the RoH folks. You are free to sit together and plan your next steps, talk about your concerns and the like. Feel free to do it either IG or in the quest forum. To anyone who is going to PM me withing the duration of my vacation. Be patient as I will answer it as soon as I am back home again. So no worries, I will be back eventually! Hello, Welcome or 'Hellas’ as I use to say... I thought it is about time to introduce myself here. Yes I know some were asking me to introduce myself so well I have no other choice. Before they start poking me again, please let me go on. I wonder why they want some details about me though as there is little interesting about me, really... *eyes the people behind him, sighs slightly and goes on* . As far as I know I always had a fable for fantasy, started by books over movies and now I ended up in front of my comp playing mostly RPGs. So what are my hobbies? Well I guess you always figured one out. I spend most of my time playing Layo (oh wonder) or some other games like Morrowind or Valkyrie Profile, whereas I don’t even possess a PS2 but the game is just great, better than FF imo. If I am not around at my comp there are most likely three other possibilities where to find me. I am either playing PnP with my friends, currently DMing two groups which is a lot of fun and usually makes my day. Also is a source of inspiration for my character on Layo or for my quests. So if I am not around for PnP you can find me in the Gym or outside playing either Volleyball or Beach-Volleyball, depending on the weather of course. No I won’t mention that I already played Volleyball outside while it was raining and thunderstorm was coming closer. I am both, player as well as coach. Yeah you got it right, I am a coach as well, believe it or not. Currently I am coaching a youth-team and they are only a few years younger than I am. As for my own team I am playing for we were kinda successful last season as we won in our league. So when I am not around I am usually found relaxing on the coach or either in front of my computer watching a nice anime. Yes I know I am an anime addict and I don’t regret it. I am used to that my friends call me either Freak or Otaku, heh, so no worries, I’ll live! Besides that I can be found reading, drawing, hanging out with friends or listening to music as well. Music’s mostly metal or classical music like Wagner. Even though I am German I never attended to his “Der Ring des Nibelungen” but I really should as it sounds interesting and already got some good feedback about it. So what else do I have to do in my spare time? At the moment not much as I just finished school and am on my summer break right now. August 1st starts my life again with a job. It has something to do with computers and I will work at an university. I never figured out how my job is called in English but in German it is called “Fachinformatiker – Fachrichtung Systemintegration”. Now something about Layo itself. I joined February 6th 2005, the day of my mother’s birthday so I will never forget about this date. So who am I? Well I am the player behind Dorena, Valaria and even Liasanya. As a GM you might know me as Valkyrie, Flame Haze, Lenneth or even Innocence. Yes I know, some even call her INNYYYYYYYY! So well, these are the basics about me. Hmm picture of me? I doubt there is anyone existing, at least not a good one. No worries, he did not do anything wrong, but he knows about some happenings I'd like to know.
I can be found either around the Wolfswood Forest by the Headquarter of the Corps, at the Raven Guild Hall located in Port Hempstead or in Vale in the Forest of Fogs.
You might want to know how I look like to contact me. Well I am an elven lass after all, usually wearing green clothes. Med-cut hair and green eyes.

I just wanted to let you know this is timebubbled. What happened tonght did not happen yet since we are at a cliffhanger atm and don't know how this will turn out.
You all did not meet with Zoraje yet again. No, he did not tell you why he is requesting help yet.
I really forgot to tell you after the session, but things were busy for me today.

Well,
this just cae in my mind. It is possible to calm animals as a cleric with the animal domain. This is really nice if you walk around. But I just realized it doesn't really work on checks.
If you pass an animal it says you calmed an animal, but you cannot roll for it. If I type *animal empathy check* I make a roll, but my modifiert to the roll stays '0'.
If I use the dicebag it says the skill needs special training.
Are we able to change it the way that clerics with animal domain can roll said checks on quests?

The description of this spell still states that Raise Dead brings a dead one with only 1 HP left. Actually the raised one will be at full health as I just was told. So the descrition at LORE needs to be updated. http://nwn.layonara.com/Raise%20Dead
