General Discussion / Wondering how many Australians play on Layonara
« on: July 25, 2005, 01:17:00 am »
Hello, I have been living in Manchester since January and I will be going back to Adelaide Australia at the end of August. I have a level 5 Character named Thergin. I enjoy playing and I would like to continue. I was wondering if there are other Australians so I will have people to quest and group with regulary?

Thank you

Joshua

Day 1. I have found myself transported to another place, I am unsure of where I am in relation to my home. I fear that I will never see my family again, I worry for my brothers and sisters. Alas I can not fear it is not the way of Toran. I have followed his light so far and it has not failed me.

The people of this village are very friendly, I sense that many are also not from the area. I have helped one of the towns people in regards to the ever growing goblin scout threat and also recovering the taxes of the town. I adventured with two halfing females, there humor I find hard to understand. I forget there names, I find it dificult to remeber foreign names and even harder to spell them, I would remeber if meeting them in town again. Maybe Alayana...

Day 3 I have been asked to go deep into the crypt and kill a vial evil creature it sounded very dangerous but I have grown in confidence and I have experience with the undead. It was a tactical long battle but I was victorious in the end, I have found myself much more adept with ranged weaponary, I guess all that hunting with my uncle when I was a child has come in handy.

Day 5. I have become far more experienced over the past few days. Many nights have been spent vanquishing the evil that stalks the night. I return most nights to the crypt as I feel the threat will grow uncontrolable if I dont, where there is darkness I must bring light. I have relied many times on my trusty crossbow but I feel it is not fast enough for its purpose. I have decided to seek for a trainer in the arts of fighting and the use of the bow. I hope to find someone soon.

Day 7 I have met a great friend in a dark elf, and a half giant. We were trying to find the giants gear that he had lost in a goblin cave, The cave was far more difficult then I could handle by myself, but lucky we had two more companions join us Kurgaz a dwarf and someone I did not get introduced too. I could sense many years of battle hardened experience in my fellow adventurers. After we killed the leader of the goblin's we retreated back to a camp with a fire all prepared for us. I spent some time with the dark elf he is most honorable and noble, he said that most of his kind he is not which seemed to saden him. I asked him many questions about armour and the craft he has on smithing. He showed me where I can have my armour modified and we might adventure for the materials for some more protective armour for myself, I still wear some leather that I was given as a gift from my church. It has faired well but has not many more days or nights left in it.

Day 9 I have met a friend of the name of Glokk he is a half giant, and very skilled in the art of fighting. I asked if he needed assistance in exchange I wanted him to give me some tips of fighting. He agreed. We went to the cave to find a necklace, He gave me 6 Lessons.

1 Kill Stuff
2 Loot Things
3 Dont Die
4 Stay close to Glokk
5 Kill stuff good
and I think Lesson 6 was dancing, but I dont think I can dance like Glokk at all. I definatly feel much more able in combat after watching him closely. He was very powerfull, and his brute strength I could never match.
