So, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intended. Certain terrain features such as the tall grass in windjammer's bay only render to the sides and behind the character based on the camera, if that makes sense. (see screen shot attached) Not a huge issue for tall grass, but it came into play the other day while traveling through some mountains that I can't recall the name of but there were some spiders if that helps. Anyway there seemed to be a fog or some such that restricted my vision as just black where ever the camera was facing, but if I ran with the camera sideways I could see ahead fine, but with blackness to one side or the other. any thoughts on settings in game, or something else that might be causing this?
I think stone skin might be one, also rangers get a different version of barkskin (woodland sheath), would be nice if they could use barkskin scrolls too.
edit: also Q has some find traps scroll that I think he can't use, but might have been in his inventory before the previous ranger scroll use fix

Quenton Bowstringer browses the shelves and finds a couple of items he would like to purchase:
1 belt of agility +2 - lens price = 88180 @75% = 66135 trues
1 Hryndal's Gauntlets of Eternal Vigil - lens price = 151792 @75% = 113844 trues
Total left in chest at door = 180000 (I rounded up from 179979)
These items did not appear on any price list that I could find as they seem to be new items (new unique items that drop). If 75% of lens price is not enough, I am certainly willing, and have the funds to pay full lens price. Please let me know.
Edit: I have been told these are not random generated items. I didn't see them on any price lists, but I'll double check when I can log on tomorrow evening PST.)
I really could not have said it better. I have been yearning for the RP connection that Layonara has and patiently await a new platform that can probably only pale in comparison, but still have that RP element that makes the NWN so, so good. I've been lurking now and then on the server status page and hoping to see people on, but I guess I just miss them...
And rangers have them in their spellbook as well. I've come accross a few others that rangers can't cast but have. Stoneskin is another. Rangers seem to have their own version of some spells, like barkskin and they fall in a divine catagory which I think is part of the problem on some scrolls. As part of the base mechanics, I'm not sure it can be fixed though...
Yep, what Davidhoff said. I like to keep an eye on ther server status page and try to log in whenever I see a couple of people on. PST (-8 from GMT) myself so my times are 5pm-11pm weeknights and random on weekends.
*Quenton starts dumping all his bags out on the floor in a corner of the Bullseye for sorting and making room for souveniers. He scratches his head with one hand while the other is on his hip and he looks over the pile in front of him*
Ok, let's see, what will I absolutely need for this trip? Well I certainly need Ajympha, cause Chimes gave it to me and it does a great job of whacking trollocs and what not. Gotta have my yew short bow cause Charm made it and I always like to think that makes it better than any bow ol' Sehky could make... gotta bring my wierd gnomish buckler cause it works like a champ! OH WAIT! *he frantically opens a pouch on his belt and sighs with relief after looking in* Oh good, still got my four leaf clover!
You know what? *he says to himself as he looks over the pile of picks, various gemstones, stirge feathers, multi colored bottles of unlabled tinctures and so many other things you'd never imagine anyone having*
I'd better just take all of it!
*He stuffs everything back in his bags and then announces to the room as if everyone was paying attention to him*
OK I'm all set! Let's get going already!
I've had a few thoughts about this as it specifically relates to my primary character (Quenton Bowstringer) as he was originally approved and created in 2002 and I played him to about level 6 or so. He was running around with players like Ozymandius and Rhizome (sp?) back then... Then, such as life can be, I didn't have a gaming pc for 8 years, (I call those the xbox/university/odd job years) Then at the begining of 2013 he magically reappears! I've since played him steadily and advanced him from level 6 to just shy of 25 and plan to continue playing him. However, my recent thoughts are to perhaps not mention that he used to get stuck in the red light gobbo caves with Ozy and just consider him a new charactor at the point of my return. It makes sense for a few reasons; level 6 isn't all that difficult to obtain now as it was back then before epic levels. No one from 2002 is still playing that would remember him anyway... and I still play him as pretty youthful in spirit.
The other issue I've come across with relation to the time of his creation is that fact that he is actually a Ghostwise... and I've always played him more like a lightfoot. As I recall at the time of his creation the Lore page for Ghostwise was nothing more than the stat changes and there were no rules governing the creation of sub races, or if there were, they weren't enforced at aproval as he was my first charactor. So to deal with his personallity difference, I've added things to his background story to make his family a bit more fringe to his Ghostwise clan (they originally farmed carrots, but now they farmed carrots on the ground below the treetop village and would then take the brunt of the goblin raids that were already in his background, so now he always kind of disliked the clan for leaving the farmers to the front lines while they stayed safe in the trees, so he left. Plus he was always out in the woods with his druid sister Cora away from the clan anyway). But this latter issue doesn't really pertain to the passage of time, I just figured I'd mention it...
