The Dragon Storm Campaign / Re: Retaking Hilm
« on: July 26, 2011, 11:04:54 am »
Quote from: Dezza
A few moments of silence fills the air and a few people look around at each other before Daniella speaks.
"I have asked one of the dwarven engineers from Hilm to attend this meeting with Captain Argali. Her, Azka, Kromlek and Gunder took the engineer under cover of the darkness and smoke last night to investigate the trenches and assess how much longer they may burn."

A nervous dwarf steps forward in Hilm colours and speaks,
"Well, it seems dey knew wot dey beh doin', ye see deh oil in deh trenches nay beh burnin' away. Actually it is but dey are bein fed from deh underground or by some means from anudder source and dats why dey not beh goin' away."

Gunder took over at this point and finished explaining how the oil must be being released into the trenches from somewhere and therefore feeding the fire so there is no way of discovering just how long the fire might last.

Azk'a listen quietly to the reports made about the fire in the trenches and just grins... in a way of saying I told you but no one listened.

Then when all is said, he ask once again about magical means to collapse the trenches... like a small quake or something of the like... and again points out that if the magicker where still thinking of disrupting the magical field they really must think of the consequences and try NOT to blow the whole city along with the towers.

After he has said his piece he goes away grumbling a little and walks back to the dwarven fire to share food and drinks.

*he offers a round of ale to all present from his personal keg... a gesture rarely seen in the tavern*

//sorry for this but I really was expecting more interest, although I understand not many could use such a shield, but the lense price on this was really much much higher than the starting price (from memory it was around 300k)

8.What if we had acquiesced to Rael's request?

As to Rael's request, had you agreed to it the allies could have attacked Kuhl directly through the Deep rather than engage in a contracted land war in Fort of Last Hope which was relatively untenable once Ractrafiorez decided to act in his own interests there.

Yes... but what kind of debt would we have been in for that "favor" and how many lands would now be under Rael's control?  The whole of Dregar?

I would say that, had we agreed to Rael's request, the real dwarves (aka "surface" dwarves) might not have helped as they had. I know Azk'a would not have (dunno if he's particular in that matter, but I know he should not)... He didn't came to help Audiria for that reason. Although I, of course, cannot speak for Norand or the whole dwarven kingdoms.

So that actually leads to another question:

- What would the dwarven kingdoms (I have mostly Norand in mind, since those dwarves brought down a few dragons) and armies (Voraxian from Ulgrid, Bloody Gates, etc.) would have done had Rael's request been accepted?

Ok, one I'm sure will not be answered :)

- What happened to the Lumbrals; did Angela, Alantha, Grohin and Co. did all this for naught?

Adress: 205 Outskirt of Castle Mask
Owner: Grohin Silveraxe
Forum ID: Black Cat
Bioware name: Marc Mermod

This house can be put back on the market (I've missed the 1st phase, sorry), unless Gilshem Ironstone (both player name and character name) wants to claim it, in which case Grohin will sell it to him directly - that char used to have a very small share in the house and access to some storing space there.
The others who might have such a claim to the house are:
- Dwarven paladin played by PnP (the char haven't been played for ages (might have been deleted even) and PnP has not been seen very often, a few times on the forums only I think)
- unknown dwarf (can't remember either char name or player name)
- Kobal

PS: just checked IG and it's "205 Outskirts of Castle Maske"

« on: October 29, 2010, 12:32:01 pm »
Another idea... but which might be VERY time consuming and not exempt of risks, and it might also impact your inventory in a big way (though you might use a parchment folder - might have strange effect on your scrolls if I remember correctly and if this is still the case).

Write your songs on a parchment using the quill systems.

Then read them using the "read" command on your quill... I think you need to use the quill on the parchment, then type ~read (look at the quill description)

 Cheers

PS: also your audience will have to be listening :D , cause the text might not appear in party chat.

Deep dwarves just don't seem to score high on the ratio list for me, like dark elves and the other evil races I'm assuming their numbers are kept down by the constant waging of war among the clans and with the other dwarfs.

There may be more than you think :)

I'll be quite busy in the next few weeks, but as soon as I'll be able, I'll contact you. The Dwarven Army will send members to attend the meeting of the Toranites in Huanjin though. We might meet there, as I'll try and attend it myself.

 For the Dwarven Army,

Please refrain from making such comments. Refrees are men and as such can make mistakes. There is no need for this kind of attitude.
