Rumour Has It / Re: Bounty Hunter
« on: March 30, 2012, 08:37:06 pm »
An elderly man, sporting a weeks growth of whiskers sips from his mug as he scans the common room of the inn.  A pair of wooden mugs dangling from his belt.

2
Leathan dabs his quill into the ink pot and hesitates briefly looking over the blank pages of his journal.  With a quiet sigh, he puts the tip to the pristine page and begins his writings.

Such an abrupt and sudden journey to Center.  Whilst I do recall traveling through the area as a boy, it has changed a great deal.  It is good to see areas improving after all this world has endured.  But the people, all new acquaintances, are the most intriguing.  Many stone bound souls pass through the trading post.  One of the more interesting fellows I have encountered claims himself a Knight Captain in the ranks of Rofirein.  His companions seem willing to accept this as fact.  And whilst he does have the arrogance of a lawman, I still hold my doubts.  I have yet to engage him on points of law, even though he has inquired to my skepticism of the law.  He has found the most inopportune times to have a civil debate.  Invading others habitats for the minerals and ores found there is not a time for a gentlemans conversation.  Perhaps I will suggest a mug of warmed cider while relaxing around the hearth of an inn.

On the subject of said lawman, one of his associates is quite charismatic.  An elven lady quite capable with her use of blade, bow, and footwork.  Even though she is a guildmate of the aforementioned lawman, they do not seem to be like minded.  She more of a free spirit, not chaining herself in the quagmire of law.  Perhaps there is hope to show the lawman the folly of his ways, if he has companions such as the elf.

He groans slightly and stretches his fingers.  Closing the journal after dusting the ink with sand, he secures it in his bank vault and sets out for the inn and a hot meal.

Trade and Market Hall / Re: Grand Opening - the Saddlebag Pawn Barter Shop!

Leathan strolls through the shop, examining items at random until he comes upon the jewelry.  Trying on two rings he nods approvingly and deposits a bag of coins.  "Twenty four hundred and eighty eight True by my calculations with my credit of thirteen hundred and forty True for these two rings?"

He shows Tinpin the two rings set with alexandrite.  "My calculations are correct, yes?"

//2 rings of foxes I

Leathan, a middle age man strolls through the shop and offers two rings enchanted with the wisdom of owls to Tinpin "I would like to donate these and in partial trade I would like the necklace enchanted with the cunning of a fox.  I believe that would leave me with a meager credit and a ten percent donation of two hundred and fourteen True, yes?"

He waits for a reply and hands over the ten percent fee with a slight nod "For your ledgers the credit will be in the name of Leathan Lampter.  I shall stop in on occasion and peruse your wares so there is no need of you having to send a message by post."

He tips his head with a slight smile and heads for the door.

It was pretty severe lag, but it seems to have cleared up.  At least for the moment.

A halfling with a scraggly beard trots in dragging behind him a suit of panther leather and suit of white stag leather, he tosses them in the chest with other leathers and peruses the other goods.

"Um...can I just leave these for a bit of credit?  I'm in the market for some rings that will make my muscles bigger or make it so I don't get sick much.  If you get anything like that in, I'd be interested.  If you don't want the leathers just donate 'em or toss 'em, I can make more if I need them."

As he heads for the door he yells over his shoulder "Oh!  The name's Tramel...Tramel of Wayfare!"

I still think Mr. Brendan Shanahan said it best "St. Patrick's Day is for amateurs."  But all-in-all, it's still a dandy holiday!

Cheers!

Yes.  The path should be...your main drive (or wherever you installed NWN) then NeverwinterNights then NWN then the file nwncdkey.ini.  Or do a search for any file titled nwncdkey and insert your keycodes there

There is.  If my memory serves me well, you can change cd keys in the main directory of NWN in a file you can open with notepad entitled...nwncdkey...just put in your cd keys, save, and it should be good to go...I think.  :)

From the High Reaches Lore Page.

Third paragraph, second sentence:

"They constitute the only effective way of moving to move lumber from the forests..."

I'm guessing it should be one or the other: of moving...or...to move

I have been known to be wrong before though  :D

If I remember correctly the icon for it is the same as tinder, and can be easily overlooked.  I had the same experience when I made Jerky the first time.

You may have received it and it's just hiding in your inventory :)

Jez leans in and kisses Emwonk on the cheek "You know where to find me when you have time for me." She is obviously a little confused but trying to muddle through it. "You go have your fun with Jennara and Andrew."

Quote from: Nehetsrev
*Emwonk slowly nods and replies*

"Emwonk cognates verbals this infinitum, Jez, Blossom.  Emwonk flows joint alternate entites, inclusive Jennara, Andrew good groundings, this infinitum regarding birds, Rassle entity.  Subsequent, Emwonk recycles locality Jez, Blossom.  Emwonk flows joint Jez, Blossom alternate variable future infinitums.  Cognate?"

*waits patiently for Jez's response, gazing into her eyes to the point of daydreaming*

Jez keeps her eyes focused on Emwonk as he speaks, her hands slowly rubbing his as she tries to warm them.  Her smile comes easy and is warm and reassuring as she replies.
"I think you are asking me to go with you again...yes?"  She reaches up and caresses his cheek softly "I'm not one for wandering or roaming, if you're offering me a home and land to raise a family, then yes.  But, if not, you can come and visit me here as you like.  We can have picnic's or go for walks, but I always need to know where home is.  I'm not as brave as you, I can't face a prison, or go where the wind takes me.  If you're offering me that my little lightnin' bug" said very affectionately "then yes I will go with you.  Once I have seen to settling my family here.  That is not so much of me to ask, is it?"

Quote from: Nehetsrev
*Emwonk tries to explain his intent to Jez yet again. Holding Jez's hands with his own cold fingers and looking her in the eyes with his own electric blue eyes unobstructed by his mirrored goggles as they normally would be.*

"Emwonk querries Jez, Blossom, flow joint Emwonk alternate localities, multiple, variable, future infinitums variable? Cognate? Jez, Blossom, recycle this locality infinitum Jez, Blossom requires?"

*Here Emwonk pauses a moment waiting breifly for her to think about what he's said so far before going on to say more."

"Alternate, Emwonk attempts acquisition locality equal parameters Jez, Blossom requires. Alternate, infinitums required for locality acquisition equal variable, probability excessive infinitums. Cognate?"

« on: July 07, 2010, 03:50:43 pm »
I'm guessing you are looting the proper boss to get the stick?  I know this is probably a given that you are, but starting with the simple things.  :)

I killed the creature twice, once as a gm and once as a player and the stick was there both times.

A player did mention to me that they had been in the area on a couple of occasions lately for aloe and killed the creature that drops the stick, leaving the stick on the corpse.

I don't know if this could cause it to not drop or not, but just some observations.
