I am a bit confused right now, seeing as this submission is an exact copy of an already approved character of yours (https://forums.layonara.com/approved-characters/tormak-torcsmith/msg1095301/#msg1095301), minus the name.
From what I have gathered, you want to have your old characters ported over anyway?

thank you for your submission. It is a solid submission, but I am afraid I have to clarify some things (if I read correctly on discord, you are a returnee and some things have changed over the years):
Due to some IG events, no half-races are born after the year 1421. As some IG time has already passed (it is already the year 1490), the starting age of a half-elven character would be 87 years old. I did a check myself and I can no longer select a half elf during the race selection screen upon character creation.
Not relevant for the initial submission, but for a possible resub I'd like to mention that paladins have restricted multiclassing (https://wiki.layonara.com/wiki/NWN_Restricted_Multiclassing). While it is still possible to take sorcerer levels later on, Valanya may not freely take any more paladin levels after taking a level in a new class.
Also, as it is a paladin submission, I'd like you to extend the additional statements a little more (https://wiki.layonara.com/wiki/Cleric_Paladin_and_Champion_Submissions). I am kind of missing the first point.
Just as a side note: The weave is now known as the Al'Noth
As I already mentioned before, I really like the submission per se. It truly is a good read and without the race (which can no longer be selected during character creation) and the missing statement regarding your understanding of the dogma, I'd approve it right away.

That would require a database edit, to my knowledge. While I cannot help you with that, I took the liberty and placed a sign right next to the door. I know it is only temporary and I will have to redo it after a server reset, but it is something I can provide for the time being.
Does Light effects from items or the Light spell have any adverse effect on Ranger HIPS?If there is a source of light nearby you cannot use HiPS, whether it be from any kind of equipment or a torch, the spell light etc
To my knowledge the feat has not been updated recently. Ranger HiPS always had some limitations compared to the vanilla one. Maybe the IG description changed to avoid confusion.
As it describes, rangers can only use HiPS is certain areas which have natural surroundings, i.e. forests, swamps, meadows. Generally speaking, it can be used in most outdoor / rural areas. It should also work in natural caves and other areas under ground.

I'd like to try out some things first with Bron IG before we'll recreate him from scratch as the latter is far more complex (administrative wise) below the surface. I'll try catching you IG to run some tests on Bron.

sorry for the delay on this, but as you are resubmitting Nate for a Prestige Class that is considered as "complex", it will take us some time to carefully read through the original submission, the CDT and exchange several thoughts between each other before we come up with a reply. It would have helped if you included a link to Nate's journal and original submission as well.
We approve Nate for CDQ(s) to take assassin levels. Please find a GM to run this and point them to this thread. Keep in mind that taking a CDQ does not guarantee approval right away. There is always a chance of failure when trying to take on a complex PrC.

This is currently under review. We will get back to you shortly.
Let me rephrase then: Having the algorithm come up with the wrong time is an issue I will have to endure. Another thing is folks just not caring that a quest is about to start. That is where we have to differentiate. If there is a set date /appointment I do all the preparations in advance to show up on point and not start preparing by the time the meeting is already supposed to take place. I know my boss will be pretty angry if I don't show up on a meeting on time.
Furthermore, I also provided the UTC (https://www.timeanddate.com/time/aboututc.html) starting time so it is easy to determine and look up the local time. EDT is UTC-4, EST is UTC-5. AEST is UTC+10, AEDT is UTC+11, just to give a few examples. Timezones can be tricky, especially with Daylight Savings starting happening not universally around the globe, hence providing the UTC time.
