Dear great estate agent in the heavens.
having being evicted with kindnes last year Rockhead is still house hunting, are there any going at the moment.
I do fancy Rhizome's old house on the corax island if its going cheap. It must be in quite a state as he hasnt reapired it in years.
Given his absence and Rockheads lore skills perhaps i could research some of his stories and tell the younger folk of his past and the stories he told ( so folk can get the xp from that quest. you must get loads of "where is Rhizome"
perhaps a nice link for an older bard to run with and I can hit circa 70 in performing it.
If his great great great great grandchildren still have a stake in it i'd be happy to rent it and open up with a portal. That way the house in the town at 232 could be sold too.

a zoog ditty..... Rhakt U Bhaakt sings for you ( not for the squeemish)
twas the night before christmas, when all through the server,
not a creature was stirring, not even Minerva,
NPC's were hung by their necks with great care,
by the goblins bereft of heroes to care.
the heroes were nestled all snug in heir beds,
with visions of goblins with chopped linmbs and chopped heads,
and Rhakt dressed in red with a rather large sack,
of player bits and pieces just there for to snack.
Then outside of Centre there rose such a clatter,
the heroes arose, said " Oh dear whats the matter"
and out through the window they jumped with a flash,
and chased ater the orc, his head for to bash.
He was dressed all in gnoll fur, from his head to his foot,
with Pyrtechon armour covered with ashes and soot,
a bundle of bodies now strapped to his back,
for teh childer of orcdom now nothing would lack.
His eyes how they twinkled, his fangs looked so merry,
his cheeks flecked with blood, not with roses or cherry,
his laughing great maw was drawn up like a bow,
and sucking on bones he dripped blood on the snow.
He was chubby and plump , having eaten an elf,
and he laughed when he saw them in spite of himslef,
with a wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
he vanished before them just leaving the dead.
He sprang to the slay, to his tribe he did whistle,
and they shot at the town with arrows and missle ( sorry)
and they him exclaim as he shouted in the night,
"happy christmas to all and a very good fright!!!"

mmmmmmmmmmmmm...........................interesting.
Ms Pigstrotter is one of my lot and is supposedly TN. She has no diety which i think makes it easier and her moral code tends to be based upon "what me da said" but in that respect is unwavering ( and she'll give thick ear to any and all who disagree). I think she wavers on the side of good and right but not necessarily law. But I do find her easy to play.
Rockhead is CN and is harder. Hes out for himself but reliant on charisma and charm to get his way which generally involves performing or helping (being a bard). He'll run if needs be to save his skin. Doesnt follow anyones rules or leadership ( suffers the doesnt shut up trait) but again is easy to play i find ( i just ramble on ad infitum relying on decent tping skills). Again no deity ( yet!).
My evil orc ( not telling his name still as you'll all be nasty to him) is LE and I find the hardest to play in character. I think its the Pyrtechon choice and it gives me a headache. To play in the layo world you really need to act with others and his raison daitre ( that looks wrong but too tired to find the french dictionary) is to see everything destroyed. I do think the religion thing complicates character playing the most. That said, ive had some fun with him if only one on one sessions rping with Geloo and acting a dumb orc responding either literally to his requests or misunderstanding and generally getting under his skin ( but then being evil is annoying Gm's isnt it?..............isnt it?..............I'm sure it says that someplace).

Newly washed evil orc, washed beyond compare so as not to dirty the shop and suffer from cleaning bills leaves Alleath slippers ( 5108), takes iron kite shield (1668) and throws sparkly coins fresh from strangled goblin in the chest.

in the early hours before dawn the orc Rhakt moves slowly from building towards the docks of leringard. catching a familiar smell of a person he knows he finds himslef at the doors of the trading company. Under spell of complete darkness and invisibility he prises open the door and wanders through the building. Taking out the cruelly curved sacrice blade he wanders past the cot of the small shopkeeper.
He stops and sniffs looking from side to side to catch the faint smell of the Al'Noth which he seeks. At the shopkeepers cot he spits on his finger and touches the sleepers face with taloned claw leaving a trail both of spittle goblin juices from his last meal and then licks his finger sensing for power. Sensing little power he moves on drawn by the aroma of magic in the chests beyond.
He opens a chest to find and hefts a large two handed blade in his great hand and moves on to the chest that smells of magic. lifting the lid he finds many small rings but none fit his fingers past the dark blue grubby talons encased in blood and grime.
He turns to leave and notices the skinny arm of the shopkeeper lying outside his tartan covers. " not even a tasty morsel to be had" he mumbles and trie sto out the blade in his pack. It wont fit and so he dumps the various pieces of bodies from the pack into the nearest chest and leaves as silently as he entered.
//left ladys Gift (7684), iron spear (2000?) and Plat reinforced clothing (7508) taking last defense.
When the shopkeeper finds the body Rhakt has left he'll notice the purse attached contains perhaps 10 percent of the blade value. I'd suggest the little one wash that day to avoid the rash which will follow the day after if he doesnt.

Rockhead Howling Wolf wanders the shop whilst having a philosophical discussion with the little shopkeeper about the medicinal merits of pouring sour whisky into your boots to cure the bunions.
he takes out and leaves a set of eagles jewellry (8664), a designer ring ( 460) and a pair of gargolye boots ( 24416)...
rummaging about he takes out a unicorn cloak ( 15132) a Mr Smashy hammer (3804) and a fire enhancement ( 6396) and 200 arrows (6400) and throws a bag of 3073ish coins in the tips chest.
Well yer have a nice emporium here laddie.I 'll call in again.................. does yer perhaps sell fungal toes cream? no?...............damnation i'll try gin then!

I have to say I agree with the policy but I'm in need of some help.
My level 11 orc shamen/cleric follows that party pooper Pyrtechon but I'm not sure I'd ever manage to get to the temple in my current form even if I wanted to. Is there a nice enclave of fellow fire lovers out there with their own alter I can borrow from time to time?
I can flame the sambuca? do toasted sandwichs and you'll certainly save on those heating bills!

Grendola visits having washed her hands and takes some iron half plate and a mahgogany longbow. she leaves an oak longbow and some iron splint mail and throws coins in the chest for the surcharge

Grendola Pigstrotter wanders around the shop looking for the shop assistant as she cant read any of the notice saying what things cost or what the trade value are.
leaving greasy bacon fat smudges on most of the chests she drops off a set of studded jaguar leather armour, a pair of gloves of austerity ( +12 disc), an iron dwarven waraxe with no enhancements her old iron greataxe with a plus 6 cold enhancement known as "Buttock Cleaver".
She tells the other people shopping what she has left and wonders if the owner can leave a message at teh bar saying what they might be worth before she leaves.
She pops back in and asks where the chests of polka dot bloomers are kept and do they have any with lace?
//read the price list but frankly got confused re armours and enhanced weapons. I'll wait for an updat eand come back to shop.

One would suggest that if poisoning is an evil act that those who strive to better the best just kill her by other means. She cant be top of the pile if she's dead!

ah, the age old problem of capitalism!
well my ten penneth is to agree with the last suggestion from Hellblazer and re-introduce daylight robbery. Eg, many years ago I used to rp with some friends in a sci fi/ space game ( evn forget its name) and in game i played a space merchant. I did some nifty negotiating and started picking up just 5% of everyones loot in game. I no time at all i owned my own spaceship, heavy armour, deadly ray gun and an antigrav belt ( but dont call me Luke ok and i dont know any bloke called Anakin). anyways i was obviously too big for my boots and the friendly Gm had a group of hi tech thieves pinch me belt, clear my accounts and blow up my spaceship to cover tracks ( wipes a tear remembering the glory of it all)
I learnt a valuable lesson. How about the thieves guild geting a list of the 50 wealthiest and having a go at relieving them of their lolly. If it become a decent quest storyline I'll even try for my first rogue character to help out.
p.s. If I succed can the DM's foregt that bit about checking up on me and spending any ill gotten loot please, I'm after having a level 6 rogue with a palace, harem, servants, carriages oh oh oh and a golden dagger and and........................
just a thought! it might be fun
