A tip of my hat to Night, Kalandi'ira, Nym'roos, Xun, and Faillaan for the unceasing amounts of dark role play! Thank you for stirring this old spider from his cave.
Also, another tip of my hat to Vincent Coste, Terg, Naldin, and Max who so amused me greatly on the Destroyer's Curse quest series! A refreshing breather from all the darkness I've been inhaling.
Somewhere in the wilderness of Dregar, Ni'haer and his retinue all watch as the skies suddenly change. The sorcerer now fashions a look of genuine concern as he confers with his lieutenants.
"Anira aleleala ilma anilgoelv anee celv. Kya cailela elsta anira stastca oelelairala. Lieanirmecwylaan ilkyileanla yla."
Upon closer inspection, the cocoons seem to contain humanoid figures, most likely victims for personal consumption. As parties trudge on, they encounter more spiders than the norm. They're also much more aggressive now.
Those in tune with the Al'Noth would notice traces of darkweaving evident in the cave. It comes and goes like the beating of a heart and can be felt most at the deepest layer. Like sulfur, it taints the air and makes it hard for people to breathe. No new tunnels or passages are found although it can be noted that someone passed by the lair. Those well-trained in the art of tracking would notice some boot tracks.

Admittedly, I've shirked my responsibilities as a World Leader due to the call of real life. But hey, I've returned to make the most of my time here on Layonara. It's time to shake the world silly.
As part of the small evil population, I've tried, time and again, to organize a community that may eventually thrive and oppose the excess amounts of goodness in the world. I wanted to paint a darker picture of Layonara with the "immortal" stonebound cringing in fear of their malevolent counterparts. Alas, our numbers have dwindled but that won't stop me. Hopefully, others will follow in my character's wake of intrigue and destruction. (Gratuitous plug!)
Ni'haer is a dark elven political figure in the Deep so I RP that his time is usually spent in this malign scheme that requires his full attention. However, he has other affairs on the surface as well. I'm not really picky when it comes to choosing PCs that I RP with nor do I have a standard on the level of RP that I should reward. So please talk to him, insult him, brand him as an infidel, stone him to death, chase him across the kingdoms, whatever works. Ni'haer will entertain ANYONE he comes across but that doesn't necessarily mean a pleasant outcome. Ultimately, he's a social monster.
I'm still thinking of a way to better incorporate everyone in an evil scheme so please do bear with me. For now, you will all have to contend with the added level of turmoil already unleashed. Kindly hold on to your soul strands.
Ideas, suggestions, and comments will be greatly appreciated.
