Sorry, but there are just so many types of pie. Fruit pies, veggy pies, meat pies, the famous sheapherd's pie... I mean, cake is cake, but pie is forever!

Sorry Orth. You're right, I should have made a different thread. (Actually, I probably shouldn't have said anything at all. My apologies.)

Happy Black Friday! Stay safe on the roads and in the stores everyone. And when you're picking up that Wii or PS3, just take a moment to think. Is it worth getting shot over?  ;)

Nope. A fan does 1d2 I believe whereas a Dagger does 1d4.

I believe I heard that the weapons would work if we could "fix" it so the game would ready a Fan as it would a Dagger. Then you could take a feat in dagger (Ie: Imp Crit) and it would affect the fan as well (because deep down, it's really a dagger). The down side is that this then opens up two weapons to be improved with one feat.

Roleplaying / Re: Elves
« on: November 13, 2006, 04:09:31 pm »
I always played it as...

1. Under exreme exhaustion an elf could sleep, however, the sleep was unintentional and stemmed from loss of control during meditation.
2. I don't think they'd need to meditate as often, or for as long. That's sorta one of the big things about them from my perspective.

I think this is L's territory though. Seems like this is something that only he can define in his world.

Something's changed since I last checked. Yesterday was the first time I'd seen the Layonara Wiki Article and it said that it violated the deletion policy of Wikipedia and could be deleted in five days if not corrected or challenged. It's gone now. Someone musta done something.

Yeah, sorta funny to look at now, but honestly... kinda scary at the time. Totally psycho-maniacle strangers making threats on the internet... no one knows what they're capable of... yeah...

General Discussion / Re: A Reasonable DT/Level Ratio?
« on: November 08, 2006, 04:48:05 am »
I didn't have any DTs until I hit level 12 or 14. Then they all started coming and rapid succession. (At least three of them were totally my fault... don't go "away" when you're standing on or near a spawn, even invisible.) I have 7 now with one of my characters at level 20. I only play one other character seriously and he has 0 at level 5 (to be expected). So yeah.

As for how many are appropriate. I'm thinkin if your level is in the mid to late teens and you're not in threat of Perming, you're doing well. (And I'm talking 7-8 DTs when I say perming.) Lots of people have taken the fall at much lower levels. Since it's all randomized though I can't really say what's appropriate. (If we moved from a random to a fixed system I might, but not for this.)

So, actions between *asterisks*, spoken words between "parentheses", and written stuff in italics perhaps? I like it.

39
Yeah, I don't think this is directed at any one person in particular. I've been guilty of this several times (on both sides). I've said things but not actually written a response and people have commented on it, or I've commented on something that someone said and didn't write. It happens. I think this is just a request to clear up such confusions in the future. Then again... maybe I'm wrong. You'd have to ask Varka.  :)

I think Varka was talking more about people making posts and other people talking to themselves about what was said without actually replying on paper. Least that's what I was talking about. I agree with you though G.
