Mooneyes, if you are talking specifically about the door that leads to the room with the mushrooms and the crypt dust, then the unlocked door may be down to a certain "not very nice" individual who had unlocked the door after they had collected what they needed and left the room, so it's not a bug.

Ask A Gamemaster / Re: GMT gm's

Several good points here and it is food for thought. Is there any chance of opening up a few slots for GMT-based people to ask to become GMs?

It would be especially good if it could remove the PC Properties skin that gets stuck in my inventory from time to time. This item cannot be removed by a player so is a real pest when it doesn't get removed by the login script and it then stays in your inv for ages or until a gm can take it away.

Mixafix's tip of carrying an item that boosts int (or in my case wisdom) which she doesn't need, but does make sure she keeps her one and only 5th level spell - which she was losing every time she logged on.

I checked her native wisdom and it is 15 so that should be enough to guarantee at least one lvl5 spell, but it doesn't - however, Mix's tip is a good workaround and I would recommend it.

In my experience it would be unlikely to get a weapon benefit from the off-hand in shifted form, but perhaps others may know different, so I would not apply an enhancement to the mahogany weapon to use in such a way.

Although, putting it on the mahogany weapon to use in the main hand is still a good idea ;)

I don't tend to visit seedy sights, but I have used Microsoft Security Suite for a few years on one of my computers and never had any issues - except one, so worth mentioning.

The laptop in question just suddenly decided it wouldn't connect to Layo (or any other game) through a company firewall and it took me ages to track the block down to the MS Security Suite. Once I disabled it, I got through no problem. And before anyone chips in with two firewalls running (MS Security and the corporate one) being the issue here, I have never, ever had the same problem with any other firewall I have been running interfering with the corporate one. Anyway, that aside, the MS program works really well and is free  well, so you can't go too far wrong?

As Frendh says, it looks expensive, but that aside, get a large HDD - you may not have filled it up in the past, but you can't lose with a lot of space to store things.

It won't affect performance if you don't have one, but you will swallow up 120GB without even thinking about it, hence my suggestion for a larger non-SSD drive.

The query about processor is good too; personally, the i7s are expensive, so check out the better i5s which will deliver almost the same performance but for much less money. PCPro magazine, Oct 2012 recommends the i5-3570K which gives a "combination of stellar performance and reasonable price". You would of course need to check motherboards and bridges for compatability.

Hope this helps

one missing component to my first scan is a large 1TB or higher hard drive to hold all the files etc. The SSD should be set up to boot from and manage the OS, but everything (mostly) should be on the second HDD.

//I came on and waited but you must have been held up and then rl got the better of me and called me away sadly.

To help you get the benefit of the belt without any more delay, I have dropped the belt in the Angel's  Guild shop in Port Hempstead Fields. The chest is labelled PICK UP SPECIAL ORDERS HERE and has a scroll beside it explaining what the belt (and payment) is about.

My thanks to Jilseponie for her help in allowing us to do this :)

pm sent to Teo about this as well. Hope it does what you need it to :)

//Sadly, I will be out on Saturday and not at my computer, but can make it for 3 hours later, say 3pm your time? If that doesn't work then I can try to arrange a drop off via the Angel's or something for a commission on the sale so you can pick up any time.

Ramblings sir? Why then if you have not the wit to see the golden goose, then perhaps our badinage is in vain. A meeting is in order, but you may not come to like the inauspicious start.

Why sir, it would be the modest kind for a gentleman of modest means such as yourself.
