I've had a few thoughts about this as it specifically relates to my primary character (Quenton Bowstringer) as he was originally approved and created in 2002 and I played him to about level 6 or so. He was running around with players like Ozymandius and Rhizome (sp?) back then... Then, such as life can be, I didn't have a gaming pc for 8 years, (I call those the xbox/university/odd job years) Then at the begining of 2013 he magically reappears! I've since played him steadily and advanced him from level 6 to just shy of 25 and plan to continue playing him. However, my recent thoughts are to perhaps not mention that he used to get stuck in the red light gobbo caves with Ozy and just consider him a new charactor at the point of my return. It makes sense for a few reasons; level 6 isn't all that difficult to obtain now as it was back then before epic levels. No one from 2002 is still playing that would remember him anyway... and I still play him as pretty youthful in spirit.

The other issue I've come across with relation to the time of his creation is that fact that he is actually a Ghostwise... and I've always played him more like a lightfoot. As I recall at the time of his creation the Lore page for Ghostwise was nothing more than the stat changes and there were no rules governing the creation of sub races, or if there were, they weren't enforced at aproval as he was my first charactor. So to deal with his personallity difference, I've added things to his background story to make his family a bit more fringe to his Ghostwise clan (they originally farmed carrots, but now they farmed carrots on the ground below the treetop village and would then take the brunt of the goblin raids that were already in his background, so now he always kind of disliked the clan for leaving the farmers to the front lines while they stayed safe in the trees, so he left. Plus he was always out in the woods with his druid sister Cora away from the clan anyway). But this latter issue doesn't really pertain to the passage of time, I just figured I'd mention it...

Yeah, what Acacea said! I was gone 8 years and 2/3 of my characters were still on the server. At the time I asked the same question and they said no problem!

I'll try to make it with Quenton! PST evenings work best for me, although I'm working in the lab during the days all weekend so I'll be restricted to evenings. I'm also in the midst of moving this coming week, but my internet should be pretty seamless as soon as I install this new wireless card in my tower and convince my new roomates that my modem and router are better than the rented modem/router from Comcast... and I'm rambling as well... Great halflings think alike!

Tonight and wednesday are no good, but Tuesday, thursday or Friday work for me or the weekend, but I'll be potentially moving this weekend... and in the month to come.

Ohh yeah I got epic prowess last level, I forgot about it... it is showing up in his charector sheet. And I did not realize that I still got a feat every three levels regardless of the bonus feats! Awsome! I'm taking the epic dex each level to try and get a base of 25 for the blinding speed feat. Tougher with a ghostwise loosing 2 dex out of the gate! 

Ok so I shouldn't get a feat at level 25 but I will get a bonus feat at 26 amd a normal feat at 27.

On another note... Sure wish I got more spells or at least more spell slots in the epic levels... Once I switch to emerald rings soon, I'm gonna miss the bonus spell slots from the ranger specialty diamond rings.

I had a similar issue in the same place a while back. You might try unchecking the "shiny waters" box in your video settings, or it could be a bad tileset .hak file, but it's probably the first thing.

Yeah I had issues with this area about a year ago, along with the sea caves. It turned out I had a bad .hak file for the tilesets. However, turning off shiny water is another fix to this problem on other occasions. You shouldn't have to turn all the settings down, just leave shiny water un checked. Cheers!

Well... I hit a layer of solid bed rock, not surprising really. But... I thought I saw something... not sure who... or what... I thought I saw a face looking at me in the muck and the mire. *shrugs* it looked mad. That seems odd.

Oh Come on Sir Danny! You know I can keep the animals out, or in if we want em... I could get a bear or a dire wolf to keep watch. And Katrina ((his panther friend)) is always lurking, why do you think we haven't had any mice or rats since I joined! But ya know I can tan up some sorta hide door if we want... or copper or whatever *shrugs* And I'd certainly start collecting wood to rebuild once we figure this whole shebangle out. You want I could polymorph into a umber hulk and start digging down to get a peak? or I could just ask a badger to do it... Probably best if I just do it, badgers are always cranky. *casts polymorph self and turns into an umber hulk and starts digging a hole a good 30 feet behind the guild store.*

Did a bit more runnin round with some a dem kin from the otter day. Slag and Belmir. Slag is learning new tricks from Dorand dat be a true godsend in battle! Our shield wall was tough and we were victorious over dem forest giants. We traveled through the destroyed city a Vale and Belmir told us a wat he knew of it. Found a wierd globe ting that seemed to suck da Al'noth outta da air in the forest too, but I dun know nothin of such tings so we gave it wide berth.

Well, I dunno... Cellar door ((Celador)) remarked about some sort of curse emanating from this building, so I was goin through all the chests looking for clues. But Cellar door hasn't come back from his study in a really long time!
