//I was going to send a PM, but I think it is best to conduct training for some and remind others.

//We, as players, cannot deteremine what the crowd will do, how they will act during any encounter.

Quote from: SiliconMagician
*Holds up a hand to the crowd of citizens gathered outside the Wild Surge Inn. Wild speculation ensues about the barricading of the red light caves, rumors of invasion from the caves are running rampant*

//Actually, the cave is quite a distance from Hlint, many, many miles (hundreds). Hlint would hear about it, maybe, f this affected trade routes or as mentioned, someone brings the news to the town. The only ones that they would likely listen to is some of their own or people ~like~ them, definitely not adventurers.

"Citizens! Citizens! Listen to me a moment! I know you are frightened! But listen to me I was there!", Ragnar pleaded to the spooked crowd. They hushed after a few minutes and stared at him, and he cleared his throat. He stood on the stairs to the entrance of the Inn.. the town crier looking quite worried next to him.

//The bold is the actions that we cannot state. Hlint has been attacked by dragons, even had a dragon sitting in the middle of town. Sinthar himself had been to Hlint. Hlint has had A LOT done to it. I do emphasize A LOT! Goblins in a cave...they won't give a hoot about. We can only RP what our actions are. Matter of fact, due to adventurers, most, if not all, of this occurred. Therefore, if someone stands up and states that they are an 'adventurer', then you will likely not get a very welcomed response. You would likely even be screamed at and rioted out the gates.

"...and will be protected! You have my solemn word on that!"

//Heh, as we say on the boat, "neither required nor desired." They would likely just ignore you.

//I do applaud your initiative and it is a great way to get the ball rolling. However, we cannot force emote for NPCs and we have to keep the world in perspective (size of the world and mentality of the people).

//Additionally, yes I used your post, SiliconMagician, but it surely does not mean you are the only that has done/does this. Its rather common, actually.

 //Training conducted.

I am learning to be a ranger and going to yield two swords at once. You should see me swing a sword. *nods* Yep! I am so fiercesome! I'm not actually going to ~fight~ a dragon, I'm just going to scare it to death. Well, unless it complies with me demands.

Rumour Has It / Re: Announcing ~~ LORE Trivia!!
« on: January 06, 2010, 01:47:41 am »
Oh! Everyone will be getting normal quest XP. Why? Because, knowing LORE is a huge part of our RP, the world, quests, etc. If you are learning as you play, you should get 'experience' for it.

If a person dies or is out an hour into it, that PC will get teleported out and get an hours worth of Quest XP.

Right answers...get a point and RP XP
Wrong answers...gets to rock and roll, no RP XP.

*grins* You have two minutes from the time I hit 'ENTER'. How you get the answer is up to you.

You would only use checks if you want GM intervention. I'm not going to help with the answer :D

I am going to have to push to next week. I cannot get everything set back up in an hour and I don't want to keep pushing it hour-by-hour. Many apologies.

Almost all classes have multi-classed so it is hard to say exactly.

A lot of people like to multi-class with rogue for all the benefits, such as sneak attack and evasion.

Rangers are used to multi-class for Arcane Archers and ambidexterity.

Fighter class for all the feats and then to Weapon Master. They are a dime a dozen.

Fighting clerics and bards are fairly common.

 Underused - Paladins

Overused - Wizards, Sorcerers and Weapon Masters.

I recommend you view the server status when there are a lot of people logged on (about 20-30 people) to get a good idea of what is going on.

Are the teams to be randomly assigned from whoever shows up, or do we pick teams (//bad memories of getting picked for teams for dodgeball start to surface)?

Teams will be determined by the captains. So yeah, possibly more bad memories. But, I have heard that counseling works wonders.

20 people shows up, there will be 20 rolls of the 1d100.

20 people / 4 man teams = 5 captains (there will likely be some 3 man teams)
The captains will pick one person at a time and will go in order.

Captain 1 will pick a person, then captain 2 will pick a person and so forth.

Welcome back!

We are working in a new hub, but if you hang out around Fort Wayfare or the Fields of Port Hempstead, you can generally run into someone. If not...go with the tells.

Still following Miss Calise's advice, at LEAST half will go to the people in Karst.

So, hey, here's the status:

Enchanted Mithril Star Shield (Level 20)
35,000....yeeppeee ~~ Since this is active, I'll let is run for a bit longer. However, since the auction has been active for a week, when the bids slow, the winner will be the highest bidder.

Enchanted Mithril Heater Shield (Level 20)
60,000 trues....hoorayyyy ~~ Since there is no bid for five days and the auction has been active for a week, the winner is Fenrir.

Enchanted Mithril Buckler (Level 22)
Removed from the auction and will go to the temple of the Heartsong.

Thanks!
Ami

We'll mark this as a bug and move it to a more appropriate place for tracking.
