Kay, so, like there are some bids! This is SOOOO exciting!

Miss Calise says I should not donate to her and the temple that there are others in need. She says to give at LEAST half to the people in Karst. So, umm, yeah, I'll do that.

Enchanted Mithril Star Shield (Level 20)
 No bid...Boooooo

Enchanted Mithril Heater Shield (Level 20)
 55,000 trues....Yaaaaayy

 Enchanted Mithril Buckler (Level 22)
 No bid...Boooooo

 Thanks!

I can't find the link at the moment, but you can save your logs from the game. There is also a rotator so you do not overwrite your existing logs. Once you get this in place, then you can just use your logs.

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / Re: Sea elf swimming
« on: October 18, 2009, 04:08:46 pm »
Sea elves were also sorta kinda driven from the seas when Carocsa was slain by Yashilla and Mist got a bit more powerful. This is why we have sea elves on land today. ;)

Oh, almost anything and everything can be rp'd.

There are other items that have KD immunity as well.

Isn't a reflex against sonic made against a hellball?

It has been forever. Thanks for stopping by and letting us know that you are still around :) You know, your Syn is still lurking around the server somewhere. I'm sure he'd like to see you too ;)

I think that some of these things will help stop this. So in the end it will help the lower level characters. I really do not see a need for high levels to use a pawnshop.

 Especially since...

...the party level restrictions have been removed and low level charatcers are making runs for high level CNR.

...multiple PCs from the same player using the guild for credit that another one of their PCs is a member of.

 ...store credit.

 ..."gifts".

Just to name a few. The economy system is basically turning up-side-down.

Layonara Server / Re: Great HakPak/Override for Players!

Did some testing, tattoo 1 colors the eye, tattoo 2 colors the lips on the heads can be changed. The only way that I found this out is by selecting tattoo color and selecting different heads until the color was applied to the lips or eyes (upon further investigation, I may be able to find what heads, with number, that this option is available for).

Additionally, here is a link to the color palette so if you request a certain color, use these numbers so the GM can easily do it for you.

So one certain tattoo color set will make your eye color the same?

 Yes. With the right head.

If so can a DM change the tattoo color of a pc so that character's eyes can reflect the change?

 Yes.

Just to add a little note. There is actually two heads in the packs that are set to the clothing for the lips. If you take a look at the head of Sonya Darsus, you will see what I meant. (sorry don't know the number of the head)

 Green dress, green lips

 Red dress, red lips

Heh, that's cool. That means that she will always match.

For the tattoo colors, I know of only three heads that work off of tattoo colors.

However, as far as causing chaos- I don't think there should be any ooc grievances for someone playing true to their character, whatever the cause. That's why it's roleplay. We go by what our characters would do, not necessarily based on a preset storyline. If that was the case, what would be the point of going? It only has one ending. We want to be able to affect change in the world. We want to matter, to make a difference.

And... sticking with the original point- each character has a different way of feeling that they have made a difference or reached a goal.

Yes, but when a GM has spent a lot of time on a plot and how things should play out, a 'kink in the hose' would be good to know about so the GM can possibly work that out. I do not think it is a good idea to start throwing off a quest just so a player's PC can act IC. A heads up would be appropriate or your PC may just end up in a situation that may start affecting you OOC'ly. IC actions can affect OOC emotions when it starts to disrupt a quest that has many hours poured into it. Sending out spoilers in the quest write up may not be appropriate. Nor should there be a clause saying, "If you have an evil PC, bring them to this one."

When picking which PC to play...play the one you feel like playing. Just prompt the GM prior to the quest out of consideration for the GM. If it is not a good choice or match for the quest, pick another PC. If that doesn't work, wait for the next quest. This is what has worked for me in the past.

And Black Cat, I'm certain the head works with tattoo colours, not clothing colours.

That is correct. One tattoo color goes with the eyes, the other tattoo color goes with the lips.

*Ami arrives at the temple. As she walks past the boy to speak with Calise, she pats the boy on the head, gives him a playful smile and winks. When Ami moves pasts him, he follows without a word until they are both stopped. Just as she is about to speak with Calise, she notices the boy standing behind her. Ami turns around and kneels down so her eyes are level with the boys. The boy stretches out his arm with letter in hand. She takes the letter and examines the outside markings. Ami hands the boy a couple of coins, a small basket containing various red fruits and berries, thanks him with a smile and another wink, then watches him leave. She stands up and breaks the seal on the letter. As she reads the note, she starts to feel faint and nearly loses her balance. Once she recovers, she shows the letter to Calise to measure the affect that the letter has on Calise. Ami folds the letter back up and heads to Port Hempstead.*

Ask A Gamemaster / Re: Policy questions regarding new alignment rules
« on: September 30, 2009, 12:19:06 am »
A general policy or rule leaves people wondering how much they can push the rule, wondering how far they can go to get to the boundaries. By setting clear, concise and explicit rules defines the boundaries for the people that likes to push them. In my opinion, of course.

Fourth -- As part of this policy, is there any warning given before the sanctions are applied? If, for example, a neutral PC has been determined by the Layonaran powers that be, to be simply acting too Good for their approved alignment, do you send them a PM, warning them to start being more Evil, before you launch into your retributions?

A good indication that you see if a player is acting out of his/her alignment is, after a quest, event or situation, the character receives a slight alignment shift from a GM on the spot. The best example I can provide is the latest one that I have witnessed...a chaotic good character got into an argument with another character. The two characters were going back and forth with just talk and banter. The chaotic good character started making threats, which eventually led into the chaotic good character attacking the other one. The chaotic good character killed the other character and emoted dragging the body to the nearest town's walls. The chaotic good character received an alignment shift towards evil for attacking and killing another character unjustly. In this instance, I went to the scene when I saw the situation developing on my chat window. Also, there were some PVP requests from the chaotic good character. I did not approve the request, but the other character did. Once the PVP widget is used and agreed one, PVP can commence, BUT does not have to. In this case, though, it did.

PM's, tells in game, alignment shifts, etc are all indications that you are not acting within your alignment.

I'm in need of a Keep-Me-On-My-Feet Sword so *glances over each shoulder, up and down and then listens for a minute while covering the post as she writes* Emie will stop knocking me down. If you have such a sword, send me a message. But be careful, -she- must not find out.
