Fixed Bugs / Cross Server Jumps - Booting IP message

Sometimes no IP shows up when you get booted to port.  It says "please log into: " (or whatever the message is, but the field is blank.)

Also, since there isnt much time to view the message before you get booted, perhaps change it to say "West" or "Central" or "East"

That way you can see quickly and easily which server you should log into.  (this is really only an isssue when you die, because if youre porting via a boat, you should know where you're going.)

I just visited bone hill and was going to write up my observations.  But before I read too much into the chess board, I wanted to point out that the king and queen of both colors are in the wrong position.  Queen goes on color and the king is the taller piece with the extra little thing on the top.  This acctually changes an important feature of the game.

I put 4 unprepared flatbottoms and 4 unprepared wolfswood cut into the press, used the flint and steel on it a bunch of times receiving the message about begining to dry it out.

After a number of times, I aquired 4 prepared (or smokable, i forget what it was called) flatbottom weeds, and lost 4 unprepared flatbottoms and 4 unprepared wolfswood cut.

I did not recieve any prepared wolfswood cuts.

The damage bonus vs undead and shapechangers given from the silver enhancement is Slashing damage.

I was thinking it should at least be bludgeoning as undead are notorious for having slash/pierce resist and this is supposed to be their special weakness.

But, as silver is the magical weakness of undead and shapechangers it should probably be magical damage.  I realize that magical damage is more powerful as nothing has resistance to it, but, since this is their weakness, it seems like it should bypass all of their resistances.

Electrical rods III and IV dont give the visual effect like the other rods of equivalent power.

General Discussion / Dieties - Allies and Enemies

Since this topic is so confusing, I was trying to draw a web diagram with all the dieties, connected by different colored lines representing whether they were Allied, Friendly, Neutral, Unfriendly or Enemies of every other diety.

As I started I realized why this topic is so confusing.

Some dieties that are listed as allies on one dieties page, are as far as neutral on that dieties page.

For example (I was looking into Ilsare to start with because of the hlint enchanting pool contreversy):

On Ilsare's page she is allied with Aeridin, Deliar, Lucinda, Kithairien, and Xeen.  However, Deliar and Xeen only list Ilsare as friendly on their pages.

Az'atta's page lists her allies to be Ilsare, Goran, Deliar, Lucinda and Aragen.  However, Ilsare's page lists Az'atta as neutral.

Rofirien lists Vorax, Dorand, Toran, Katia and Aragen as allies.  Katia lists Rof as friendly.


I'd think both parties would have to be aware and willing for them to be considered allies and even if not entirely allied, that their official stances toward each other would be convergant.  I'm not sure if these are intentionally inconsistant, or if they were originally consistant and as some of the dieties evolved things got skewed a bit.  But.. it sure is confusing... and I'd hate to be a cleric of Az'atta thinking they were going to get a good reception with the clergy of Ilsare....

Whenever I'm on voltrex (pretty sure this is just on Voltrex not on all of east, but I'll double check) I lose all environmental reflections on armor and any shiny textures become matte.  Also, my head looks slightly transparent.  

Could be on my side, but Rhiz's post about weirdness on Voltrex made me think of it.

Oh, and just to rule out one possibility, I haven't been turning off environmental reflections every time I go to Voltrex heheh

General Discussion / Direction the food system is going in.

I never really thought that this is something I would feel strongly about, but I think the new changes to the food system are great!

Cooked meat (campfire variety) and dried rations are hardly keeping me full, and I gladly shell out 10x the price for the better food at the in, and have been looking into crafting and buying nicer food.  

Anyway, I really like the motivations the new distribution of charges and um... fillingness give players.

I give the changes to the food system four thumbs up.

Apart from the normal merchant area (which is accessible from the docks area of Sadia,) there is another door marked with a map tag labeled "Shops" or "merchants" in the area of Sadia that has the stairs to go up above.  The room the door goes to is a nicely furnished cozy place, but there is no one there.  Not sure if theres a missing NPC or what this area is for.

I was thinking Platinum shields could be to iron as bronze shields are to copper.

...Why does this sound like an SAT question..?

Like this:

Platinum Shield - +1 AC, +2 AC vs Blunt, +2 AC vs Piercing

Like a step between iron and ada, as bronze is between copper and iron.

All this disscussion of maps, and photoshop gave me the crazy idea to... make a map in photoshop.  well, it sounded a lot crazier in my head...

Anyway, heres a small portion of it, its not really populated yet, and I havent figured out how to make mountains that don't suck.  So, if anyone has any advice on the mountains, let me know.

The back button on the PC dicebag doesnt work so well.  whenever I use it, then select a skill roll, I end up making a perform check or something silly like that.

dont think that way very clear... lets try again:

If you use the PC dicebag, then go to a submenu, then hit the back button, then go into another submenu, and select a skill roll, the dicebag rolls an incorrect check (not the one you clicked on.)

this is easily circumvented by cancelling the convo, and re-triggered the dicebag.
